RTP - Key Persons
Alan is a Pittsburgh native, safe and healthy housing expert, and veteran of the Rebuilding Together network. As a teenager he worked hauling shingles up the ladder and pulling carpet staples from old floors with his dad's small construction business. As the CEO, he leads a dedicated team of construction and nonprofit professionals in their efforts to preserve affordable housing, prevent blight and improve individual and community health.
Andy Hromoko has been affiliated with Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh since 2008, both as a volunteer house captain and staff person. In that time, he has managed hundreds of home repair projects all over Allegheny County and is currently overseeing projects in the Mon Valley. He enjoys meeting people where they are in life and letting them know others truly care about them.
Anika was born in Pittsburgh, PA and was raised in West Mifflin, PA. Upon graduating high school, Anika joined Springboard Kitchen which kickstarted her drive to improve people's lives in our communities. She joined RTP in February of 2018 as a crew member under the Jobs First Program. Her favorite part of working at RTP is cultivating working relationships with homeowners.
Blair, a native Pittsburgher, joined RTP in 2017 as the Manager of the Rehab 4 Resale Program. Blair's specialties include construction management, property acquisition, management, and property performance analysis. Blair is motivated by the belief that Pittsburghers of all incomes deserve access to safe, healthy homes; and the opportunity to plant roots and thrive in the neighborhoods they love.

Carly started with RTP in 2019 having spent her previous twenty years managing small to medium-sized businesses for the CEO's that owned them. With RTP, Carly found a way to exploit her love of balance and efficiency in the world of finance and accounting. She approaches every challenge with the optimism that no job is too big to be tackled with education, planning and effort.

Originally from Latvia, Erna moved to Pittsburgh to pursue a Master's degree in Sustainability. She explored her passions for environmental and social justice, as well as farming, while studying at Chatham University. Through the client relations role, Erna is connecting with residents and organizations in Allegheny county on a daily basis, driving the belief that everyone deserves to have access to equal economic, political, and social rights and opportunities.

Outside of RTP, Jarmele is the Board President of the Bloomfield Garfield Corporation as well as a Gift Creator and Owner of a Gift Basket and Event Planning Business. She also enjoys gardening and bird watching.
Jen Fox brings more than 20 years of non-profit experience to Rebuilding Together. Prior to joining RTP Jen worked for Conservation Consultants, Inc. managing a plethora of "back of house" responsibilities including contracts, human resources, building management, and IT oversight. She also worked hand in hand in with an outside CPA and bookkeeper to manage all aspects of CCI's finances, budget, invoicing, and accounts payable.

Katie oversees, directs, and organizes the work of the Programs Department, including, applicant pipeline, community planning, client relations, case management services, community outreach, and community-based organizations and service provider partnerships. Katie believes safe and healthy housing is a human right and is proud of the work RTP does to preserve and create safe and healthy affordable housing through direct programming and a robust referral network.
Kim was born and raised in Swissvale. Kim has worked as an Intensive Case Manager both in Pittsburgh and Clearwater, FL. While in Clearwater, she bought her first "fixer upper" triplex, and her love of rehabbing began. She joined RTP in Feb. 2020. She believes she was meant to be here to combine her love of people and her construction background.
Lisa is a Pittsburgh native who in the past 5 years has become a dedicated non-profit volunteer. She works with several organizations outside of RTP on her own time, including the Youth Enrichment Association, Inc. and the American Red Cross, where she is able to make a positive impact for Pittsburgh communities by improving after school and summer school programs as well as home fire safety programs. She joined RTP to apply her passion to continue making a positive impact for people to improve their living conditions and have a safe and healthy home.
Lucy brings her passion for the environment and building science knowledge to help improve energy efficiency outcomes in RTP projects. Lucy earned a Master of Science in physics in her hometown, Cracow, Poland, and a Doctorate from University of Rochester. A believer in making a positive change, Lucy is also volunteering for several local organizations to help address climate change and other environmental causes.

Lydia completed her undergraduate degree at Michigan State University, where she studied Natural Resource Management. Once in Pittsburgh, she continued with similar work as a project coordinator for Grounded Strategies until landing at Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh's construction department in 2018. Lydia now oversees RTP's utility service programs. Through this work, Lydia can connect qualified customers to service programs that address their emergency and chronic utility issues.

Mel is a Berkeley California native who settled in Pittsburgh in 2009. After a long career in business management, she settled in the construction industry working primarily with self-employed contractors. Mel grew up rebuilding homes as a family endeavor and naturally gravitated towards working in the field. She believes RTP gives her an opportunity to restore wealth in a community through home restoration.

Rebecca was drawn to RTP through her case management experience, watching firsthand the positive impacts and importance of having access to safe housing and the ability to live comfortably in place. Rebecca leads case management efforts at RTP and assists in building partnerships with other organizations and programs to create a network of support for the homeowners we serve.

Roy brings an abundance of experience in community organizing, community development and construction management to our team. Most recently, he helped Hilltop Alliance become the URA's number one producer of rehabbed homes in the HAP program.

Ryan Warfel served with RTP as an Americorps member in 2015 where he developed a passion for non-profit work. After four years at a Rebuilding Together affiliate in New Orleans he has returned to RTP as a Utility Audits and Assessment Coordinator where he uses his non-profit experience to improve energy efficiency for households around the Pittsburgh area.
Sarah believes in the critical importance of affordable, safe, and healthy housing for all. With an extensive background in nonprofit operations and government administration, Sarah works within the Finance Department to assist in maintaining the accountability of RTP's financial resources. She's proud to leverage her knowledge of public policy and passion for social change to improve housing outcomes, and the lives of residents, across Allegheny County.
