The Robert Ross Lab focuses on understanding the fundamental role that cell-matrix and cell-cell interactions play in the myocardium and cardiovascular system. Specifically we focus on molecules instrumental in integrin-mediated adhesion and signaling, the focal adhesion / muscle costamere, and ones positioned in the intercalated disc of the myocyte... The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at UC San Diego has a long tradition of training future leaders in the field. We are committed to providing opportunities for training in all aspects of cardiovascular diagnostics and therapeutics in clinical cardiology. They are trained at high-volume facilities with a diverse and heterogeneous patient population.
