SHAEFF-MYERS FUNERAL HOME

The Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home is family owned and operated with roots in both the Ambler and Philadelphia areas, and is one of the seven oldest funeral homes in the country still in operation. The Shaeff family founded the funeral home originally located in Blue Bell in 1860. Three generations of the Shaeff family served the community and then moved the funeral home to Ambler in the 1940s. Robert E. Myers, a second-generation funeral director from Philadelphia, purchased the funeral home from Walter Shaeff in 1978 to form the Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home. Robert's son, Richard, became a licensed funeral director in 1996 making him the third-generation of the Myers family to become a funeral director in the business. Richard's youngest son, Thomas, became a licensed funeral director in 2024.
