Darius has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Studies with Specialization in Computer Technology and a Master's degree in Business Administration from De la Salle University. He is a national and international taekwondo champion, a pilot, a painter, a teacher and most recently, an author. When he is not at work, he enjoys playing the piano and cello, painting and jamming with his musical family.
Dr. Mottahed was born in the U.S but grew up in Vancouver. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Biology from the University of British Columbia and his dental degree (DMD) from Boston University. He is the new principal dentist of Mercato. He purchased the practice from Dr. M, his dad, in 2010 and has since updated the office with new dental and office equipment, software, as well as gave the office a facelift in 2011. Dr. Mottahed is also a Clinical Instructor at the University of British Columbia.
Dr. Tang grew up in the Greater Toronto Area and attained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Toronto. From educating his patients about dentistry to developing a friendly rapport with them, he makes sure his patients fully understand their treatment and next steps. His dental philosophy involves life-long learning to provide treatment based on current scientific evidence and each individual's needs and preferences. He can also provide services in Cantonese and Mandarin to suit patients' needs. In his free time, Dr. Tang enjoys traveling, trying out new food, watching movies, and staying active.
Dr. Rezaie received his DDS degree in 1998 and MSc (Endodontics) in 2003. Prior to moving to Vancouver, he had been practicing as an Endodontist for more than 5 years. In 2010, he graduated from the University of British Columbia Dental School and in 2013 successfully completed the Specialty Assessment Program from the University of Toronto to become a Certified Specialist in Canada. His hobbies are soccer and skiing.
Dr. Chang has a true passion for helping people create beautiful smiles. She completed her degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Toronto; and prior to studying dentistry completed a MSc. degree in biomedical art. Combining her interest and love for art and design with dentistry, she developed a strong passion for esthetic dentistry. Her goal is to always listen, care, and treat each and every patient with compassion and tenderness.
Dr. Shainbom graduated from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1977. He was in his own practice in Johannesburg until 1996 when he emigrated to Canada. He chose to live in Vancouver because of its natural beauty and milder climate.
Dr. Rouzbeh Memar is a graduate of University of Toronto. He is passionate about comprehensive dental care and keeps up to date with latest advances in dentistry. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys video games, basketball and spending time with his family.
Dr. M is a graduate of the University of Manchester in England. After serving one year as a dental house officer, he entered general dental practice. Dr. M has advanced training which has led to a Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons as well as a Diploma in Orthodontics. Dr. M's area of expertise is on cosmetic dentistry, particularly crowns and bridges. He currently holds a position as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia.
Maria Jung, RDH Maria truly loves her work in dentistry and has a heart for every patient that she treats. When she's not at work, she enjoys trying new restaurants and exploring British Columbia's hidden hiking spots.
Josianne Uwamaliya, RDH Josieanne has been a dental hygienist for more than 10 years and is enjoying every minute of it. When not enjoying she enjoys cooking and spending time with her kids.
