Ron McMahan - CEO

A native of Taylor County, Kentucky, Ron McMahan has served as the Executive Director & CEO of Team Taylor County since 2005. As the head of the community's lead economic development agency, Ron has been a champion for collaborative economic development on the local and regional level. Through Team Taylor County, Ron works to unify and strengthen alliances between the Campbellsville-Taylor County EDA, government, community, education and industry partners to create a robust business climate for the Campbellsville-Taylor County community. His efforts also recognize the importance of regional collaboration. Ron frequently works across county lines to maximize workforce, transportation, marketing and other shared economic development initiatives to achieve common goals. Ron draws from his more than twenty-five years of combined state and local economic development experience, focused on business retention, expansion and relocation. Prior to joining Team Taylor County, he was a Project Development Specialist for the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development, where he worked with a diverse range of industries on business growth opportunities. Ron earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Kentucky in 1989. Since then, he has completed professional development requirements through the Kentucky Institute for Economic Development (KIED), Oklahoma University Economic Development Institute (OUEDI), and the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). Most recently, Ron was selected to participate in the Advanced Economic Development Leadership (AEDL) executive education program where he was awarded an Economic Development Master Practitioner diploma from its four partner universities. Ron resides in Campbellsville, Kentucky, with his wife Cathy, where he remains a committed economic development practitioner who strives to cultivate a better life for the residents of his hometown, region and state. Ron and Cathy are parents to two adult daughters, Kate and Caroline, and son-in-law Carson.
