My partner and our three sons love living in Tairāwhiti. I have had the privilege of leading our Tūranga Social Services team, since 2023. I come from background of social work, having practiced in both community and statutory settings for over twenty years. I'm passionate about delivering quality social work to our whānau, rangatahi and tamariki. Tūranga Social Services has an established history of delivery social services, as an accredited level 1 social service provider. We aim to continue to grow and develop in response to needs and providing a platform for transformative change.
Pauline has experience in Governance as Chair, Deputy Chair and Trustee of Ngāi Tāmanuhiri pre-and post-settlement governance entities. As the Chair of Ngāi Tāmanuhiri Pauline is also one of four iwi Chairs on Toitū Tairāwhiti Housing Ltd. As one of two Ngāi Tāmanuhiri negotiators, Pauline began and concluded negotiations with the Crown to settle Treaty of Waitangi historical claims for Ngāi Tāmanuhiri. Pauline has a Masters of Education (Victoria University) and a Masters of Business Administration (Massey University).
Ronald has worked for the Runanga for 17 years as the Chief Executive. Prior to this he has spent over 20 years working in Iwi/Māori development, either in strategic and/or managerial roles and has a finance background. Ronald is currently Chair of Te Reo Irirangi o Tūranganui a Kiwa and has held several trustee/directors roles with Iwi entities. Ronald has had previous experience in tertiary education, managing a private training establishment and has served on Regional Conservation Boards' and Local authority committees.
