TPHA

Tanzania Public health Association (TPHA) was established in 1980 with the aim promoting health and preventing disease in Tanzania, through advocacy for sound public health policies and practices and for healthy lifestyles. The association draws multidisciplinary health practitioners and many others interested in public health and solutions of health related problems. Membership is also open to non-Tanzanians residing within and outside the country. The Association's membership is broad-based and multi-disciplinary. It includes medical and public health personnel, pharmacists, dentists, nurses, health officers, nutritionists, medical sociologists, behavioural scientists, economists, educationists, engineers, lawyers, veterinary practitioners and many others who are interested in public health and in the solution of health related problems. Currently the Association has over 2,666 members, the majority from within Tanzania. TPHA was established in 1980, registered on 27th December 1980..
