We are a local family living in Danville, PA looking to become more self-reliant and provide for ouselves as well as our friends and neighbors using sustainable methods... On our small family farm, we are striving to find a more sustainable way of life. We are integrating a variety of complementary practices to produce food for our family and a surplus to provide to others. This includes raising various livestock focusing on Nigerian Dwarf goats and heritage breed pigs. Our heirloom vegetable garden is intended to provide for us, to market and to supplement the livestock's other feed. The milk from the dairy animals feeds their young, our family and the other livestock. The waste from all the animals improves the soil, which in turn supports new growth and nourishes the animals in return.
