BEAVERTON PET CLINIC - Key Persons

Dr. Jason Dinh

Job Titles:
  • Doctor
Dr. Jason Dinh, DVM, received his Bachelor degree in Bioengineering and Doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University. He graduated with his doctoral degree in 2015. After earning his Bachelor's degree in bioengineering, Dr. Dinh chose to pursue veterinary medicine because as he puts it "I would have been bored being an engineer." Dr. Dinh says that he could not have been happier with his decision to become a veterinarian. Dr. Dinh values the importance of educating clients about their pet's individual health needs and building a strong relationship with each family.

Dr. Lisa Yung

Job Titles:
  • Medical Director, Doctor
Education: North Carolina State University Dr. Lisa Yung, DVM, received her doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University in 2005. After earning her Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Dr. Yung chose to pursue veterinary medicine for the intellectual challenges of veterinary medicine, coupled with the rewards of helping both pets and their people. A southern girl at heart, Lisa grew up in Mississippi before moving to North Carolina to attend NCSU. After 12 years there, she left the South to take advantage of the large variety of outdoor activities available in the Pacific Northwest. She joined Frontier Veterinary Hospital in early 2007, and in 2019 partnered with Frontier's Dr. Scott Loepp to join the Beaverton Pet Clinic team as the practice owners, allowing the wonderful (and still missed!) Dr. Chris Wilson is to retire. It is our goal at Beaverton Pet Clinic to continue Dr. Wilson's vision and mission: provide high-quality medicine, provide the best veterinary care with compassion, provide openness and collaboration with clients to make the best decisions, and provide a comfortable and kind environment for both pets and their people. Her clinical interests include internal medicine, preventative and geriatric care, and dentistry. She has a particular focus on acute and chronic pain management and will employ the most current treatments and therapies to help her patients' comfort, including Acupuncture. She takes on the challenges that difficult medical and surgical cases can present, and works diligently with her patient's families during the entire diagnostic and treatment process. In her spare time, Dr. Yung, her husband, and her child generally spend weekends hiking and spending time outdoors with their dogs Chi B (an American Eskimo mix) and KoB (an American Eskimo - thank you, Nancy, for this amazing pup). Snow skiing, traveling, and taking advantage of Portland's culinary scene also helps fill the off-clinic agenda. Dr. Yung also has four domestic short-haired cats at home: Carl, Nigel, Neil, and Ruth. The kitties don't get to go hiking but do a good job of guarding the house when people and dogs are gone.

Dr. Melissa Boyer

Job Titles:
  • Doctor
Dr. Melissa Boyer received her doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2018. She received her Bachelor's in Animal Science from Washington State as well with a concentration in dairy production. Dr. Boyer became a veterinarian to pair passion for teaching with her love of animals and medicine. She is dedicated to making sure her clients have the most up to date information to help their pets live long and happy lives. Dr. Boyer grew up near Seattle in Washington before moving to the other side of the state for college. While she had no experience with farm animals, she thought it would be an adventure to work with them in school, and it was! With her curiosity satisfied, she moved back into the world of cats and dogs during veterinary school and after graduation at a clinic in Olympia, WA. Then, she continued her journey south and joined Beaverton Pet Clinic in 2020. While she's moved around a bit during her life, she has no intentions of leaving the constant drizzle of the Pacific Northwest. From a veterinary standpoint, Dr. Boyer has a strong interest in preventative care and client communication. It is her belief that pet owners are the most important part of their pet's healthcare team and it is her goal to make sure that owner understand their pets care and needs. She also has an interest in internal medicine, geriatric care, and team management. When Dr. Boyer is not taking care of her patients at work, you can usually find her in the kitchen trying new recipes or (when the weather is nice) exploring new hiking trails. She also dotes on her grump old lady cat, Pandora, whenever she can.
