Maria's Pizzeria and Italian Restaurant Founder, Giovanni Giordano (1931-2012), was born and raised in Naples, Italy. His father was killed by Nazi's in 1945. He immigrated to New York in 1959. Hard working, he eventually opened a pizzeria in Port Washington and a fishmarket in Centereach. He retired to Cape Coral with his wife Ruth and 3 young children in 1979. He opened Maria's in 1991 with Cesare Gregorat. Today, his recipes are prepared as his mother taught him, using only the highest quality ingredients.
