"Being a coach means providing support to others reaching their set goal, whatever that might be, but it also means to be part of someone else's development journey, to experience the up and downs, to go through emotions, to get stuck sometimes and then find new ways. For me, a coaching session is like hitting the pause button on the speed of daily life activities and taking some time off to think and reflect on what really matters and makes a difference. And on top of that, not only can I be of support to others, but the whole process itself gives me plenty of learning opportunities as a coach and as an individual.

Iryna Panfilova

Job Titles:
  • Planning Manager, Ukraine & Moldova
The project that has helped me develop the most was implementing a new sugar supplier with a great cost price, quality level and supply security. It was a six-month project that required 24/7 involvement and a cross-functional role. I was the primary point of contact for all other departments. I was so inspired that I couldn't sleep the night the first delivery was made. We win only if we're together and if no one is trying to hide their results. In my previous role, I had a project I wanted to delegate to a young trainee. It was my project and it was half-implemented already but I decided to delegate. Many people were concerned about me handing over a project to someone else to complete. She did a great job, however, and I got a tremendous sense of pride from the project because of the success of the trainee.

Jolomi Fawehinmi

Job Titles:

For instance, I was assigned to a mentor when I joined, and he told me that I would always face challenges but that what would change is my ability to overcome them. This was a very important and encouraging lesson for me. Our Talent Director was my second mentor, and she really helped me stretch beyond my abilities at the time. There are so many new things happening at CCHBC, and she helped push me toward those opportunities and to believe in myself. It works because CCHBC rewards high performing talent and you see that all the time throughout the business. Everyone has the opportunity to prove themselves and be rewarded for their good work. CCHBC wants you to perform well so you can make a positive impact, and that means you get exposed to a lot of training programmes and opportunities to learn outside of your core responsibility. Every time I do my work, I get feedback. But the interesting thing is, I see the motivation to do more and this is good.

Marta Kuna-Kliszko

Job Titles:
  • Maintenance and Spare Parts Coordinator
Without her team, work would not be the same. Cohesion and community have an enormous importance in the production plant. "My team is like my second family" says Marta when she describes her team members. And not just her own team that counts - the best Coke can only be produced if everyone pulls together in the same direction and collaborates well with each other. For Marta, the fact she can always rely on others is a clear strength at Coca-Cola HBC. A plant is too complex organization to be fully understood in all its aspects by a single person. You need the expertise of the technicians combined with the insights of the production and quality teams. As a lone fighter, you lose. Originally, Marta wanted to work in a bakery as a child, but it quickly became clear that her passion for technology was greater. With math and physics as favorite school subjects, choosing to study mechanical engineering was a natural developmental path. Nevertheless, like the methods in her work, baking is also a scientific approach, where all proportions of ingredients and thermal conditions in the oven must be precisely adjusted. When it comes to drink preferences, Marta resists sweet temptations- her favorite drink from the wide Coca-Cola HBC Austria product range is Römerquelle still water.

Nikolay Boev

Job Titles:
  • Controller, Bulgaria
It's a very supportive culture, and people help each other a lot. I see people doing another person's job just to help them, without being asked. I feel like I work with my friends, and we have a lot of activities like big team events where we get a chance to have fun and get to know each other. We have an annual family pool party, a company-wide party at a hotel out of the city, and I participate in the finance conference for our whole department to work and have some fun together. Then of course there are also spontaneous team activities like bowling, dinners, movies, and some people play football every week. It's not always fun and games of course, but sometimes I think of CCHBC as a school because we're always learning and growing. I started here five years ago with no practical knowledge. I wasn't able to give much to CCHBC in the first year, I only took. The next year that changed as my time management and organisational skills improved, and it helped my work. Here, it's the on the job learning that really helps you grow. For instance, my last rotation as a Trainee was a leadership assignment during which I had to observe the Finance team in finance, work on their projects, and then make recommendations as if I was the team leader. I managed to do well on the project and as a result I was offered a new position, which has been followed by four other positions in the following few years, each with increasing responsibilities. CCHBC is a dynamic company where you can grow a lot in a short time through this increasing responsibility. At the end of the day, I'm very proud to be part of this company for many reasons, but perhaps most of all because of how involved we are in the community. We have programmes that are related to environmental issues, healthy, and education, especially in rural areas to help guide students in high school and university. There's always something going on, and it's very inspiring. On a personal level, I try to make an impact by being a leader that inspires people to do more and do it better. That's how I have been treated during my time here, and I try to maintain that culture. I was ready to do anything for my leaders and to help my colleagues, and that's what I strive to replicate.

Thanasis Bouziakas

Job Titles:
  • Warehouse Manager
Your agenda is very busy, how did you manage to make time for the calls and did you meet everybody? Maria: Applying the principle I have in managing - through scheduling and prioritization. As this is something, I do for me, it takes its place and really fits in well. Not only complements my on-boarding but also, especially now with Covid restrictions, it gives me the opportunity to come closer with the team. So, I make sure to have time that is well spent with the team and share this learning with them. No matter how busy our agenda is, we can always plan right to have time to develop and learn. Since you used Opportunity Marketplace yourself, what do you think is the added value people can have from participating in cross-country and/or cross-functional projects on the platform? Maria: I think it represents a fresh and innovative way to open possibilities to people for development. They learn to work on a project and have the opportunity to get a wider picture of our business as they work with people from different functions and layers. They learn how to collaborate with people who usually don't work with and they also develop valuable leadership skills.

Łukasz Gryglewski

Job Titles:
  • Senior Business Developer
I have been working at Coca-Cola HBC since 2017. My first position in the organization was a so-called Backup. At that time, I was employed by the external company and helped Business Developers. Thanks to this experience, over time I took a position as a Junior Business Developer in the FC department, and currently I work as a Senior Business Developer. I am responsible for acquiring new customers and maintaining good relations with existing ones. I'm interested in sports: mountain climbing, running, soccer, skiing. I also love traveling to new places and international cuisine. The team is undoubtedly the most important element of mountain expeditions! Mutual support, motivation, help on the trail, but also humor make such expeditions magical.
