Joseph S. Iandiorio

Mr. Iandiorio has been actively involved in fostering the creation and growth of small businesses and high-technology companies. He was chosen as the SBA's Lawyer Small Business Advocate of the Year. He was a long time Director and Treasurer of the Massachusetts Technology Development Corporation, a venture capital fund; Chairman and a longtime Director of the Smaller Business Association of New England; Chairman of the governor's Advisory Council on Small Business; Chairman of the Small Business Development Committee; a member of the Massachusetts Small Business Advisory Council and the Science and Technology Advisory Board, as well as a member of the Advisory Board on Intellectual Property at the Franklin Pierce Law School and was a founding member of the Steering Committee and a Sponsor of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Venture Forum. He is a recipient of the IEEE United States Activities Board Regional Professional Leadership Award and was a co-founder of the IEEE Entrepreneur's Network.

Kirk Teska

Kirk Teska is the managing partner of ITC Law. Mr. Teska has over twenty years of intellectual property law experience. Mr. Teska taught patent law at the Franklin Pierce Law Center and, for twelve years, has taught patent classes as an adjunct professor at Suffolk University Law School. Mr. Teska is a regular columnist for MECHANICAL ENGINEERING MAGAZINE and IEEE SPECTRUM. His column "PATENT WATCH" and Newsletter IP LITIGATION WATCH are available upon request. Mr. Teska has a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master's degree in Systems Management, and a Juris Doctorate degree. He is a member of the patent bar, the Massachusetts bar, and the New Hampshire bar. Mr. Teska specializes in patents landscape analysis, patent portfolio development and management, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, licensing, litigation of intellectual property matters, employee and consultant contracts, confidential disclosure agreements, government contracts, and other related areas of intellectual property. His clients include many start-up companies, military engineering firms such as QinetiQ North America, Inc., and also larger corporations such as Olympus and Hittite Microwave Corporation. Mr. Teska secures and litigates patents in nearly all areas of engineering including robotics, optics, circuits, mechanical systems, processor based systems, composites, computer software, the internet, and business methods. Mr. Teska co-authored a chapter in two books: The Portable MBA in Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurship both published by John Wiley & Sons. Mr. Teska was also a Director of the Smaller Business Association of New England (SBANE) and a past Chairman of the IEEE Entrepreneurs' Network. His book "Patent Savvy" was published in the fall of 2007 by Nolo Press. His second book, "Patent Management" was published by ASME in 2010.

Roy J. Coleman

Roy J. Coleman is a Partner at Iandiorio Teska & Coleman. Mr. Coleman received his Juris Doctorate Degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center, in Concord, New Hampshire, specializing in Intellectual Property law. Mr. Coleman is a member of the Bars of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Coleman has a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Electrical Engineering from Boston University. Mr. Coleman has also taken post baccalaureate courses in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry and Immunology. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Coleman worked for two years as biomedical research engineer investigating biomedical ultrasound back-scattering. Mr. Coleman presented results of his research at the Joint Spring Meeting of the New England Section of the American Physical Society, Wellesley College, Massachusetts. The abstract from his presentation is published in the Transactions of the American Physical Society (Dec. 92), and his work was acknowledged by the authors of "Ultrasound Scattering from Spherical Tumors", Physics, Medicine, and Biology (Vol. 37, No. 11, 2035-2044). Mr. Coleman also worked for ten years as a software engineer and systems analyst prior to becoming a patent attorney. Mr. Coleman's practice specializes in developing intellectual property strategies for his clients, as well as preparation of patent applications, patent infringement and validity opinions, and patentability search requests. Mr. Coleman is also involved in patent, trademark, and copyright litigation. Mr. Coleman has prepared numerous patent applications in a multitude of disciplines, including, inter alia, medical devices, complex electronic systems, power systems, optics, mechanical systems, spacecraft, warheads, computer software and business methods, chemical compositions, waste water treatment systems, and supercritical fluid chromatography. Mr. Coleman is a Programming Director of the Boston Chapter of the Biomedical Engineering Society. Mr. Coleman is also the Co-Chair of the Entrepreneur Special Interest Group and a member of Program Central. He also previously served as Vice Chair, Programs for IEEE Entrepreneurs' Network.
