Jon Chan Wenqiang

Since he joined the firm, Jon has been extensively exposed to both contentious and non-contentious matters relating to IP law, with a particular focus on trade mark and patent litigation before the Supreme Court. Jon also assists in advisory work relating to corporate IP matters, such as the review of franchising, distribution and licensing agreements. Jon graduated from Singapore Management University with a LL.B. degree (Cum Laude) in 2016, and was called to the Singapore Bar in mid-2017. Jon practises in all aspects of intellectual property law and has advised and acted for clients from a range of industries such as luxury brands, pharmaceuticals, information technology, and solar energy. In particular, Jon enjoys litigation practice and was privileged to act and assist in a number of notable cases before various tribunals, the High Court and the Court of Appeal which dealt with novel issues relating to both substantive and procedural intellectual property law. Mr M. Ravindran graduated from the National University of Singapore and was called to the Singapore Bar in 1988. He also graduated from the South-East Asian Patent Drafting programme conducted by the Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle (FICPI). He has been a registered patent agent since the inception of the patent agents register in Singapore in 2002. Ravi founded the firm in 1993.

Paul Teo graduated from the National University of Singapore and was called to the Singapore Bar in 1999. His main practice areas are intellectual property and commercial and corporate litigation. Paul has extensive experience on all aspects of intellectual property matters such as enforcement (both civil and criminal enforcement action) and High Court and Court of Appeal litigation, domain name recovery actions, drafting, advisory and review of intellectual property related agreements. Prior to joining Ravindran Associates, Paul was a director of one of Singapore's largest law firms. Paul's portfolio of IP clients included big multi-national corporations in the food & beverage, entertainment, computer, pharmaceutical, fashion and telecommunications industry. On the commercial and corporate front, Paul has been involved in a variety of matters, including civil and contractual matters, obtaining interim injunctions, enforcement of bankers' guarantees, employment matters and Companies Act applications.
