Specializes In: Specialty & Commodity Panels Fir Products Import Plywood OSB Alex Schilling joined AIFP in 2018 as a trader trainee. After completing the Trader Training Program, he became a trader in AIFP's panels department. He has really enjoyed meeting new people both in the office and in the industry, forging many friendships and partnerships along the way. Being able to be involved in so many people's lives and businesses beyond co-workers and sales is something Alex finds most rewarding about being a trader at AIFP. When Alex is not out on the trading floor, he loves spending time with his wife and soon to be son. He enjoys working out and anything that involves being out in the sun.

Andy Liu Trader

Specializes In: Western Spruce Pine Fir (WSPF) European Lumber Andy Liu joined AIFP in 2021 as a lumber trader trainee. After completing the trader training program, Andy learned to adapt to the unpredictability of each day as a trader. Knowing that no two days are ever the same is one of Andy's favorite things about being a trader, because it opens up the ability to create new opportunities. He is always looking to learn new things and improve his skills in order to provide his partners with the best service. Andy comes to work each day with a positive mindset and ready to work hard for each of his customers. When Andy is not on the trading floor he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He also loves to find new places to hike in the PNW.

Anthony Taylor

Anthony Taylor joined AIFP in 2014 as the facilities manager. He is always taking care of the team and making sure the office is in tip top shape. Anthony takes pride in the projects he does in the office and loves being able to lend a helping hand. He likes to keep himself busy and active and enjoys that his job allows him to do that. When Anthony is not in the office he likes to stay up to date on all sports and spend quality time with his family.

Art Reid

Art Reid joined AIFP in 2003 as a Lumber Trader. As a seasoned trader, Art finds the best part about being a trader is the relationships one builds. The amount of support that the team has for each other and for those new to the trade is something he admires about AIFP. He enjoys working with the team and being able to share his wisdom with the younger generation of traders. Outside of work, Art loves to spend time with his family and his dogs as well as eating delicious Italian food.

Aurea Saltonas Trader

Aurea Saltonas joined AIFP in 2022 as a trader assistant. She jumped into the lumber industry with both feet and took on every challenge that came her way. Aurea comes in with a positive attitude and is always willing to learn and try new things. She enjoys being around such a supportive and fun team and loves all the events the company puts on for its employees. When Aurea is not in the office, she can be found trying all sorts of new food, spending time with her family and taking care of her indoor garden.

Ben Ailstock

Ben Ailstock joined the AIFP team as a rookie trader in 2023. As he works his way through the trader training program, Ben has really enjoyed getting to know the team and learning the trade. Everyday brings something new and offers new challenges and rewards. He is always up for anything the day brings and is eager to help customers the best way he can. When Ben is not on the trading floor, he enjoys spending time with his family and working on projects around the house.

Ben Rist

Ben Rist joined AIFP in 2018 as a Lumber Trader Trainee. After completing the trader training program, Ben found his niche within the industrial low grade products. Due to his strong leadership abilities, he is now sharing the role of head of the industrial department. Ben enjoys the fast pace and consistent engagement of being a trader at AIFP. The opportunities to build relationships with people on and off the trading floor is something that he finds very fulfilling about being apart of the lumber industry. He thoroughly enjoys being a part of the team. As someone who was born and raised in the Willamette Valley, Ben spends his time outside of work enjoying the outdoors and exploring new places. He loves being able to spend time with his family and friends and living life to the fullest.

Billy Culver

Job Titles:

Head of the European Department

Billy Culver joined AIFP in 1998 as a lumber trader. Through his hard work, Billy became the head of the European Department. Billy is always on the go, finding new opportunities, building partnerships and making sure his customers are satisfied. He is super motivated and is always up for a challenge. When Billy is not on the trading floor or checking in with his partners, he can be found spending time with his family and going on hunting trips.

Brett Hanft

Brett Hanft joined AIFP in 2010 as a credit manager. With over 35 years of experience in credit and 25 years in the lumber industry, Brett was a great addition to the AIFP credit department. Although managing the risk and A/R portfolio for AIFP is always challenging, especially when working in such an unpredictable and cyclical industry, Brett truly enjoys watching AIFP grow and helping the traders succeed. He believes in the credit mantra of helping to 'maximize sales and minimize losses' for AIFP. When he is away from the office, Brett loves to travel and explore the many flavors of wine. He likes to give himself the 'license to chill' with a 'Boat Drink' as that is what he deems the perfect way to relax and unwind. But of course you can't forget Jimmy Buffett! Brett is an avid 'parrothead' and can be found relaxing to the soothing sounds of Jimmy Buffett.

Brittany Owens

Brittany Owens joined AIFP in 2021 as an Inventory Coordinator. With a degree in marketing, she later became AIFP's Marketing & Media Specialist in 2022. Brittany enjoys being a part of the AIFP team and seeing the amount of support each person gives to one another. She looks forward to capturing all the events, celebrations, successes and more that go on at AIFP. When Brittany is not in the office you can usually find her spending time with family and friends, helping others or involved in all things Disney.

Charlie Palmer Trader

Specializes In: U.S. Lumber WSPF #2 MSR Charlie Palmer joined AIFP in 2011 as a Lumber Trader. As someone who had severed 12 years in the U.S. Airforce, Charlie appreciates the sense of freedom that comes with being a lumber trader. He loves the fact that he is in charge of his own success and building a business that is unique to him. The comradery and teamwork that is displayed on the trading floor is one of the many reasons why Charlie loves being a trader here. When he is not in the office, Charlie enjoys the great outdoors, preferably when the sun is shinning. He likes fishing, hunting, and exploring nature, but most of all he loves spending time with his family. We are thankful for Charlie's service as well as the uplifting personality he brings to the trading floor.

Clair Coy

Clair Coy joined AIFP in 2024 as a logistics coordinator. Clair brings 30+ years of experience in transportation management and customer service. She not only brings skill and expertise to the AIFP team, but also her drive to build meaningful relationships within the industry. Clair has really enjoyed how welcoming the AIFP team is and is excited to join the team-oriented and fast paced environment that is AIFP. When Clair is not in the office you can find her enjoying the outdoors, whether that is camping, kayaking or e-biking.

Collin Landry Trader

Specializes In: European Lumber Southern Pine Fir (SPF) Southern Yellow Pine (SYP) Collin Landry joined AIFP in 2019 as a lumber trader trainee. After completing the trader training program, Collin continued to learn and grow as a trader, finding the best ways he can to be able to provide his customers with excellent service all around. One of his favorite things about being a trader is the relationships he builds and the long lasting partnerships he creates. Collin is always looking for opportunities to learn and grow. When Collin is not on the trading floor, he enjoys spending time on the golf course or shooting hoops on the basketball court.

Connor Bryson

Connor Bryson joined AIFP in 2022 as a lumber trader trainee. Working through the trader training program, Connor has found that being a lumber trader is both challenging, yet rewarding. He loves the energy on the trading floor and how the team helps support him and motivate him to be his best self. Connor is always looking for new ways to bring value to his customers and really enjoys being able to build relationships with people from all across the nation. When Connor is not on the trading floor, he enjoys reading and spending quality time with his friends and family. He also loves traveling the world and returning to visit Chiang Mai, Thailand, which is where he grew up.

Daniel Rodriguez Trader

Daniel Rodriguez joined AIFP in 2020 as a Lumber Trader Trainee. After completing the trader training program, Daniel found the importance in trading what you are passionate about and that is why he found his niche in industrial low grade. Although being a trader is a lot of hard work and takes a willingness to learn everyday, he has proven that if you come into every day with a positive attitude, you can find your success. As a past kicker for Oregon State University's football team, Daniel really enjoys the competitive nature of being a trader in the lumber industry and the sense of team work on the trading floor. He is always looking for ways to learn and grow in his trade and skills. Daniel strives to bring his best to each one of his customers, suppliers and his team. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working around the house and staying involved in sports whether that be watching or playing.

After completing the trader training program, David found his niche in the Industrial Department. David enjoys the team setting being a trader in the lumber industry offers and though challenging, he never gets tired of the excitement of making a sale. He loves being able to build partnerships with mill and customers and always strives to bring the best service he can offer. When David is not on the trading floor, he enjoys spending time with his wife and the exhilarating feeling of skiing and snowboarding. He also is a big Oregon State Beavers fan and enjoys watching their football games throughout the season.

David Thomson joined AIFP as a network administrator in 2022. He is always ready to help with AIFP's unique technical needs and enjoys how dynamic the office is. David has worked in IT since 2014 and has a passion for technology and creativity. He has enjoyed working alongside the team, doing what he loves. When he is not in the office, David can be found creating all sorts of things with his 3D printer.

Debbie Cox Taylor

Debbie Cox Taylor joined AIFP in 2013 as a Controller. As someone who has been in the lumber industry as well as a part of Forest City Trading Group, Debbie has gained valuable experience and expertise that has helped AIFP be where we are today. She is always there for the team whether they need a helping hand or someone to listen. Debbie enjoys being able to be there for the team and for AIFP and being able to make a difference every single day. When Debbie is not in the office she loves being able to spend time with her family, friends and her dog. She also likes to go hiking and exploring new places with loved ones.

Doug Rudolph Steel

With his long standing history of buying and selling steel products, Doug became the head of the Steel Department. Doug is always putting his customers first and does everything he can to satisfy their needs. He takes on any challenge that is given with a can do attitude and always knows how to makes others laugh. Doug does his absolute best to turn any situation around and loves being a part of such a wonderful team. When Doug is not out on the trading floor, he enjoys spending time with his family and living life to the fullest.

Elsa Brown

Elsa Brown joined AIFP in 2002 as a credit assistant and accounts receivables specialist. Elsa enjoys interacting with both the team and customers and knowing that she is able to help others. She loves being able to be a part of the team and provide the best customer service she can to our partners. When Elsa is not in the office she is out living life to the fullest with her friends and family. She strives to relish every moment life has to offer each and every day.

When Jael is not on the trading floor, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and baking and exploring the outdoors.

Jamie Omura joined AIFP in 2010 as a senior accounts payable specialist. She is always on top of making sure people are getting paid and that the team is in high spirits. Jamie's positivity spreads across the office and she is quick to help anyone with any questions or problems they may have. She enjoys working alongside AIFP's team and has built many friendships and memories with each of her co-workers. When she is not in the office, Jamie stays busy keeping up with the lives of her 18 grandchildren as they are the prides and joys in her life. Not to mention Jamie knows how to make SPAM taste amazing in her fried rice recipe!

Jeff Hoggard Trader

After completing the trader training program, Jeff became a jack of all trades in dimensional lumber. He loves the dynamic of the industry and being able to build partnerships with not only the other traders here on the trading floor but with people all across the country. With his background in construction marketing, Jeff brings a sense of strategy and helpful insight to both other traders and his customers. In his time away from the trading floor, he enjoys spending time with his family as well as taking time to enjoy the great outdoors. Jeff enjoys hunting, fishing and various other outdoor pursuits.
