MIRKA GOLDEN-HANN

Mirka Golden-Hann was born in the former Czechoslovakia. She discovered her fascination with the ceramic process when she came to live in England in Summer 1993... In July 1999 Mirka graduated from the University of Westminster's iconic Harrow ceramics course with BA (Hons) and received ‘Best Student' award at Hatfield House International Festival - Art in Clay later that year. In summer 2000 she finished setting up her workshop and built her first outdoor salt glaze kiln. Since then Mirka has exhibited her work in galleries throughout the UK participated in prestigious ceramics shows in the UK and Europe. In 2009 she completed with distinctions her MA Design Ceramics degree at Bath Spa University, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council... In September 2009 Mirka became a resident artist at Salisbury Arts Centre where she currently runs her practice in conjunction with managing a busy workshop and delivering the ceramics tuition programme.
