Allison Gore

Allison is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. She moved to Virginia to attend school at Washington and Lee University. Allison graduated in 2012 with her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and went on to earn her Associate of Applied Science through the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Tidewater Community College. Allison utilizes an overall functional approach to restore and improve mobility, strength, and performance. She enjoys motivating patients to reach their goals. Allison is Graston Technique certified and enjoys treating orthopedic knee and shoulder patients as well as athletes. Being a college basketball player herself, Allison easily connects with these types of patients and develops a plan to help them safely return to sport and prevent injury in the future. When not in the clinic, Allison can be found spending time with her husband, Nick, and their three rescue dogs, Buddy, Yo-Yo and Ethel. Allison enjoys hiking, going to the beach, spending time with friends and family, shopping, and going to the gym.

Andrea Frees

Andrea was born in Florida and graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science. She attended the University of New Mexico where she was involved in the premedical program and research. Due to military transfer, Andrea returned to the Hampton Roads area and received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University in 1994. Andrea's PT experience includes working in home health, hospitals, and outpatient clinics throughout the Tidewater area. She has worked for TTN since 2007 at the Chesapeake, VA clinic. Her PT interests include manual therapy, treating a variety of orthopedics patients, and utilizing techniques including, but not limited to, dry needling, Graston, myofascial release, muscle energy, and McKenzie treatment methods. When not working, she is involved with sailing, racing, and photography.

Brooke Panfil Devlin

Brooke is a local of Virginia Beach. With a passion for sports and exercise, she always knew she wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. Brooke earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from James Madison University. She obtained her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Lynchburg in 2020. She joined The Therapy Network family in June of 2020 and became the Clinic Director of TTN - Oceana in 2021. Brooke is certified in Instrument- Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM). Her other therapeutic interests include pelvic health therapy, blood flow restriction therapy, manual therapy, spinal manipulation, dry needling, and taping. Outside of work, Brooke enjoys CrossFit, competitive powerlifting, going to the beach, cooking, volleyball, and getting coffee with her husband and pup.

Cassie Noe

Cassie received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2011. While attending, she played volleyball for all four years. After working as a Tech at a sports orthopedic clinic for four years, she went on to receive her Associate of Applied Science in 2021 at Tidewater Community College. Cassie started at TTN in 2021 after completing two clinical rotations with the company. She holds a special interest in Orthopedics and Sports Rehabilitation, particularly in rehabilitating shoulders and knees. In her free time, Cassie enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

I am a graduate of Old Dominion University with a degree in Business Management. I have been working in the medical field since 2015. I went to CNA and EMT school and am currently the Administrator for The Therapy Network, overseeing 6 clinics in the Hampton Roads area. I want to continue to learn new and exciting roles and strive to better myself.

Dr. Mark R. Winters

Dr. Mark R. Winters followed graduation from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine with a residency in Family Medicine at VCU, serving as Chief Resident in his third year. He enjoyed a 36 yr career practicing Family Medicine here, culminating in him being named the "2019 Virginia Beach Physician of the Year". A serious injury resulted in him transitioning to become a Medical Director for Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group, the largest physician owned and managed medical group in Virginia, which he helped expand six-fold in the past 18 years. As a long term patient of TTN, he credits Drs Lauren Stacy and Amanda Dowdy and their Hilltop and Kempsville staffs with saving his leg and the chance to preserve his athletic lifestyle. Dr Winters considers serving TTN as a Board member a "distinct honor and a wonderful opportunity to thank a great health care team".

Elaine Comer

Elaine was born in Pennsylvania graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science, Physical Therapy in 1986. She moved to the Tidewater area in 1987 to be close to family. Elaine joined The Therapy Network in 1995 and has served most of that time at TTN's Chesapeake, VA clinic. She is married and has two children. She keeps very busy in her clinic seeing a majority of orthopedic patients and specializes in spine rehabilitation.

Lance Kyle

Lance grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia and he attended Indian River High School. After his own experience with physical therapy, Lance knew he wanted to work in the healthcare field. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 2015 with his Bachelor's in Biological Sciences and a Minor in Leadership and Social Change. Lance earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Lynchburg in 2020. Lance began his career in Physical Therapy in South Carolina but returned to the Hampton Roads area to be closer to family and friends. Lance likes to spend his free time going to the beach, trying new breweries, golfing, and playing soccer with his friends and family.

Laura Sadtler

Laura Sadtler is a highly dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant from Kalamazoo, Michigan. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. She continued her education by earning her associate degree and becoming a licensed physical therapist assistant. Laura has cultivated a robust professional background, contributing over five years in outpatient treatment facilities and two years working in Home Health. She has treated various patients over the years and gained experience in total body recovery, athletic rehabilitation, post-operative care, balance rehabilitation, and deconditioning treatment methods. Laura is particularly interested in treating athletic injuries, ankle injuries, and knee pain. Laura's passion for physical therapy rehabilitation stemmed from her own recovery journeys following soccer and football injuries. She felt the personal benefit of physical therapy and thought being part of the journey for others would be impactful. Outside the clinic, Laura enjoys traveling, hiking, going to the beach, participating in sports, playing board games, and hosting family and friends for yard games and cookouts.

Lauren Stacy

Lauren, a dedicated professional from Virginia Beach, has been an integral part of The Therapy Network since 2006, initially starting her career as a physical therapy technician. Her passion for physical therapy ignited early, driving her to further her education in this field. Lauren embarked on her academic journey at Tidewater Community College (TCC), where she earned an associate's degree and qualified as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Her thirst for knowledge didn't stop there; she pursued further education at Old Dominion University (ODU), obtaining an undergraduate science degree, and culminating her studies with a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. Specializing in gait pathologies and lower extremity biomechanics, Lauren has a profound interest in understanding and improving the way people move. Her commitment to excellence is demonstrated through her additional certifications, including dry needling since 2015 and the McKenzie Method since 2017, which underscore her comprehensive approach to physical therapy and rehabilitation. Beyond her professional pursuits, Lauren is deeply passionate about continuing education and enhancing her skill set, ensuring she stays at the forefront of physical therapy practices. Outside the clinic, Lauren enjoys a vibrant life filled with hobbies such as caring for her fur-babies, running in local events, camping, dirt biking, and motorcycle racing, reflecting her dynamic and adventurous spirit.

Laurie Johnson

Laurie is one of the founders of The Therapy Network. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Laurie earned her Bachelor of Science, Physical Therapy in 1984 from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She spent the next 5 years working in a local hospital setting. She then relocated to the Tidewater and spent the next few years working in an outpatient orthopedic practice. Laurie has helped grow The Therapy Network, serving as Clinic Director as new locations opened. Laurie developed specialist skills in treating both chronic and acute spinal conditions. Her practice areas include headaches and soft tissue injuries. Laurie serves as a consultant to TTN staff therapists on challenging non-responsive conditions. Laurie coordinates Continuing Education for the therapists and is a key player in physical therapist recruitment. She enjoys volleyball, but after 20 years of passionate play, she spends most of her spare time with her children.

Lawrence Forman

Mandi Dowdy

Mandi was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia with her Bachelor's in Health Sciences and Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Mandi worked in an outpatient PT facility for over two years prior to moving to the Chesapeake area and joining The Therapy Network in 2015. Mandi has been a PT since 2013 specializing in Industrial rehabilitation and oncology. She has developed an interest in treating spinal pathologies and received her certification for McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy in 2018. Mandi is also the Director of TTN's Industrial Rehab subsidiary, The Center for Work Recovery. She spends her weekends drag racing with her husband and spending time with family and friends.

Martin F. Casey

Max Santiago

Max was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He completed his associate degree at Kingsborough Community College, and he began his work as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in 2012. In 2015, Max moved to Virginia Beach, and he has been helping local patients ever since. His interest in exercise inspired his career choice in physical therapy, explaining that "Once I realized how specific interventions can help someone not only look and feel better but actually change their lives, I knew physical therapy was the career for me." Max is passionate about helping patients to return to the activities they love and need in their lives. Each day, he is committed to bringing the high energy, patient-first attitude that The Therapy Network is known for. In his free time, Max enjoys hiking, exercising, watching movies, and playing video games with his wife and son.

Megan Allen

Megan Allen graduated magna cum laude with an Associate of Applied Science from Tidewater Community College. She joined The Therapy Network Ghent in June 2018. She has continued her education with McKenzie Treatment Methods and treats patients with various spinal pathologies. She also has clinical experience with orthopedic, lower extremity amputation, general decondition, and fall risk patients. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and adventuring with their two dogs.

Megan Bradley

Megan was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA. After obtaining her bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition Food and Exercise from Virginia Tech in 2014, Megan worked as a Physical Therapy Technician for three years prior to going back to school. She then earned her degree and became a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant at Riverside College of Health Careers. Megan enjoys treating post-op knee patients and aiding in shoulder rehab. However, she is excited to learn more from the experienced physical therapists and physical therapy assistants at The Therapy Network. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, live music, paddle boarding, and coaching girls' lacrosse!

Melissa Baka

Melissa was born and raised in Virginia Beach. She attended Salem high school and was a gymnast, cheerleader and a part of the VPAA dance department. During her personal time, Melissa is a dance teacher and choreographer for Moonlight Dance VA. Melissa attended The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. While pursuing her undergraduate education, Melissa enjoyed her time as a professional arena football dancer for the Philadelphia Yellow Jackets. Melissa graduated from South University with her Associate of Applied Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant. During her time at South University, she was awarded the Clinical Excellence Award. Melissa became a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) because she has a passion for helping people regain their strength, mobility and confidence. Her physical therapy interests include treating patients within the Chronic Pain and Orthopedic Populations. Manual therapy and the Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) are her areas of advance education and enjoyment. Melissa became interested in PRI during her clinical rotation with TTN. After becoming a licensed PTA, she returned to the TTN family. Melissa is excited to use her education and PRI focus to enhance the lives of dancers in the Virginia Beach community.

Michael Hayes

Michael joined The Therapy Network in 2019. He completed his Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant at South University in Virginia Beach in 2017. He has a background in treating a wide variety of orthopedic conditions in diverse patient populations. Michael is passionate about sports medicine and the treatment and prevention of lower body injuries including knee and ACL injuries. In his free time, he enjoys recreational sports and spending time at the beach surfing.

Nicole Coleman

Nicole is a Virginia native from Norfolk. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Norfolk State University, and she went on to earn her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Tidewater Community College. She started her career in a skilled nursing facility in Newport News, VA, and then moved to this side of the tunnel after giving birth to her first child. Nicole joined The Therapy Network in 2012. She enjoys working with McKenzie-based diagnoses and utilizing myofascial techniques with her patients. Nicole is eager to expand her skill set by continuing her education with manual techniques, the McKenzie method, and fall prevention interventions. In her free time, Nicole enjoys spending time with her three children, bowling, and shopping.

Paul Learner

Paul is an established and highly skilled Athletic Trainer with over 20 years of experience at The Therapy Network. He received his education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He actively promotes Vitamin D Deficiency awareness and has guest lectured at several colleges and universities. Paul has an engaging and motivational style that avoids words such as "pain" and "can't." Paul is educated in treating various surgical and non-surgical orthopedic cases.

Rob Beba

Rob was born in Holbeach, England. He attended Nottingham School of Physiotherapy and graduated in 1991. Rob worked as a physical therapist in England and Australia before moving to the United States. He joined TTN in 1996 and took the position of Director of Clinic Operations in 2005. Rob's main area of interest in physical therapy is with treatments of the spine and he is certified in Dry Needling and has been a mainstay at the First Colonial office for many years. Outside of work he enjoys golf, soccer, cycling, and traveling.

Roberto Villarreal

Roberto Villarreal grew up in Austin, Texas and he earned his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Texas - San Antonio. He started his career at The Therapy Network in January 2017 as a physical therapy technician. He furthered his passion for physical therapy by attending Old Dominion University where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Roberto rejoined The Therapy Network team as a Doctor of Physical Therapist in 2022. His special interest include working with athletes, and he has a special interest in shoulder rehabilitation. He enjoys connecting with patients and being part of their journey to creating healthier and happier lives. Prior to attending physical therapy school, Roberto spent six years in the United States Navy and served with the Naval Special Operations Forces. He enjoys coffee, movies (especially Marvel), and talking with other veterans and active duty members about their life experiences and physical well-being. He currently lives in Virginia Beach with his wife and two girls. In his spare time, he enjoys staying active by lifting weights and cycling.

Sam Lawrence

Sam is a Virginia native of Roanoke. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Shenandoah University and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Radford University in 2020. Sam spent most of his college career in high-level sports such as basketball and baseball. In his physical therapy career, Sam utilizes his own experiences as an athlete to propel his passion for sports rehabilitation and physical injury recovery. Many of the principles Sam utilizes in sports therapy can also be applied to other populations, such as geriatric patients. As a physical therapist, Sam's goal is to best identify issues and solutions with his patients to decrease their pain and aid in improving their overall quality of life. Sam is a Graston Technique provider (M1) as of 2019 and he is eager to expand his skill set to include other instrument-assisted and myofascial techniques to aid in both sports and general populations.

Steve Olson

Steve has worked at The Therapy Network's Kempsville location since 2010. He enjoys helping others improve their quality of life, return to previous activity levels, and achieve athletic endeavors. Areas of specialization include spine injuries from motor vehicle accidents, soft tissue and myofascial restrictions, and treating neck, low back, and pelvic dysfunctions. He has gained experience treating patients with a wide variety of orthopedic and neurologic conditions and values the ability to collaborate with experienced PT's within The Therapy Network. Steve enjoys spending time at home with his wife, cooking, traveling, music, and getting outdoors for hiking, running, and bike riding.

Travis Walke

I was born and raised in Virginia Beach and have always dreamed of raising my family here. I graduated from Landstown High School and have been a lifelong soccer player. I played for Beach FC, Landstown, and Virginia Wesleyan University. I majored in biology and minored in chemistry, completing my undergraduate degree in 2012. I have had a long interest in physical therapy ever since being introduced as a patient as a result of my own soccer injury. My physical therapy experience was incredible, and I was determined to serve my community through this profession. I graduated with my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Marymount University in 2022 and joined The Therapy Network that same year. Although my initial interest in physical therapy was to be involved in sports rehabilitation, I learned that I am passionate about providing physical therapy services to improve mobility, pain, and safety for various orthopedic conditions. In addition to my interest in general orthopedics, I am passionate about balance training and fall prevention to allow older adults to remain active and independent. Outside of my work as a physical therapist, I enjoy going to the beach, playing soccer, and hanging out with my friends and family.
