ALPHA HOUSE CALDERDALE - Key Persons

Brendon Bennett

Job Titles:
  • Trustee
Brendon is our Service User Rep, though he is an ex-service user now. He graduated from our recovery programme and began volunteering for the HepC Trust where he has worked for the past 18 months. He is a valued Trustee and brings his expertise to add value to our service delivery.

Caron Stephens

Job Titles:
  • Trustee
Caron has been a Trustee since 2019; "I believe in the Founder and the ethos of the program". Having worked in the ‘welfare business' for over 20 years she has met many people who, given the right support, turn their lives around and overcome the obstacles that prevent them from living fulfilling and joyful lives. Because of this, she can see this important principle in Alpha House.

Jo Stocks

Jo started in 2021 as a volunteer for SWAP and really enjoyed her new sense of purpose. Very quickly she became enthusiastic about the programme delivered here, and what she could contribute to it. Previously she had worked with addicts and alcoholics within her own community and as a volunteer with other services. Her own recovery, training and qualifications enabled her to help and support others who want to change their lives. She reports that she loves helping and getting to know the residents, so much so that she decided to apply for part-time paid work with the Alpha House team also, so in December 2021 she began working here. She helps deliver the recovery programme for SWAP and especially enjoys delivering the Alpha House mental health programme.

Monique Evans

Monique began volunteering for SWAP last year and is also a member of staff with Alpha House. She is currently studying for her NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care and has a good deal of lived experience, training, and relevant qualifications. Because of her own life's path, and what she's learned along the way, she wants to pass that on and see others succeed in life and enjoy a positive and happy future.
