Dafydd Rees

Dafydd is a director with the company and advises in private client services specialising in Wills and Probate and Property services. He specialises on a wide range of property transactions in all aspects of residential, agricultural and commercial conveyancing. After graduating from Aberystwyth University in 2011, Dafydd undertook the legal practice course at Cardiff University in 2012. He then returned to the area and became a trainee solicitor with George Davies and Evans and qualified as a solicitor in August 2014. Dafydd was born and raised in the West Wales area and speaks Welsh fluently. Away from the office Dafydd enjoys playing golf and swimming.

David Cole

David graduated from Aberystwyth in 2009 with a History degree and immediately studied law as a conversion course. He then studied the LPC in Cardiff Law School gaining distinction honours. He joined this company as a trainee solicitor in August 2012 and became a Director of the firm in August 2014. David specialises in Conveyancing, Wills, Probate and Asset Preservation. He particularly enjoys Administration of the estates following bereavement and Contentious Probate claims. He is a fluent welsh speaker, born and raised in the Cardiganshire area. Away from the office David is a very keen triathlete and spends all of his spare time on his bike, running and swimming. He has completed two Ironman events and has represented Great Britain in the European Duathlon Championships (2015 and 2016). He also represented Wales U20 in middle distance athletics.

Elin Edwards

Elin joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in August 2021 and is based at our Newcastle Emlyn office. Having graduated from Swansea University with a degree in law in 2020 Elin then undertook and completed the Legal Practice Course and Masters in Advanced Legal Drafting in 2021. She is obtaining experience in various areas of law including Conveyancing, Wills and Probate. Elin is a fluent Welsh speaker and lives in Aberporth.

Helen Cole

Helen graduated from King�s College University of London in 1984 and after spending a year of post-graduate studies at the College of Law in Guildford, she joined our firm. Helen specialises in private client work; in particular property matters, whether leasehold or freehold development sites or plots. She also advises clients on Wills, Powers of Attorney and asset preservation, general aspects of tax planning and also probate and administration of estates following bereavement. She is a past President of the West Wales Law Society and a current legal Chairman of the Adjudication Panel for Wales Tribunal (dealing with local administrative law). Maria Mustard

Job Titles:

Maria graduated from U.C.W Aberystwyth in 1979 and after completing her post graduate studies at Bristol she joined this practice. She is a former partner in the firm and left the practice in 2006 but returned in 2012. Maria specialises in private client work and also advises on wills, probate and powers of attorney. She also deals with commercial work, namely sales of freehold reversions and lease extensions. Maria was born in Spain and speaks fluent Spanish but has lived in the area since she was seven years of age.

Richard James

Richard joined the Practice in January 2015. After graduating from Aberystwyth University in 1984, Richard attended Guilford Law College. He completed his articles in Llanelli and was admitted as a Solicitor in May 1988. Richard relocated to Newcastle Emlyn in 1990 and worked as an Assistant Solicitor before setting up his own Practice in 1995 gaining twenty years valuable experience in general practice before joining George Davies and Evans. His areas of work include conveyancing, both residential and commercial, wills, probate and administration of estates, landlord and tenant, power of attorney and court of protection work.

Trystan Davies

Job Titles:
  • Assistant Solicitor
Trystan worked in management for 10 years before proceeding to study the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2013 followed by the Legal Practice Course at Cardiff University, finishing his studies in 2017. He completed his training contract with Red Kite Law LLP in Carmarthen, qualifying in 2021. Trystan specialises in all matters relating to residential property and private client (such as Wills and Powers of Attorney). A native West Walian, fluent in Welsh he welcomes the opportunity to advise clients through the medium of Welsh. When not working, he enjoys keeping active and is a keen judoka. He also enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures whenever the opportunity arises.

William Jones

William graduated from The University of Wales, Bangor with a BA in History and Criminology and Criminal Justice before going on to complete the GDL and LPC at The College of Law, Chester, gaining an LLB. William joined the firm in 2014 as a Trainee Solicitor, completing his Period of Recognised Training in 2016.
