ALASKAN AIDS ASSISTANCE

The Alaskan AIDS Assistance Association (Four A's) was established in 1985 as a support organization for those living with HIV/AIDS. Four A's was the first organization in Alaska dedicated to responding to the illness we now call HIV/AIDS. As the face of AIDS has changed, Four A's has grown to meet the constantly changing needs of clients and has expanded its prevention activities. Over the years, the Four A's has grown into the state's leading HIV/AIDS focused agency serving 91% of the state in two core areas: 1) supportive services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS and their families, and 2) HIV prevention and education... Four A's utilizes a comprehensive case management approach to meet client needs. Annually, service is provided to more than 250 individuals living with HIV/AIDS and their families.
