Established in 2009, APrON is a cohort study that has approximately 5000 participants (2200 pregnant women, their offspring and many of their partners) developed by a team of expert researchers and clinicians from many disciplines including nutrition, psychology and psychiatry, family medicine, child development, neonatology (health of newborn infants), genetics, epidemiology (health of large populations) and biostatistics... Our goal for our upcoming 15-year follow-up is to understand how early life shapes mental health by age 15, with a consideration of the role of prenatal to school-age factors in depression and resilience. Moms who complete the questionnaire will receive a $25 gift card. Youth completing the questionnaire will receive a $25 gift card and an additional $50 gift card for completing the DNA swab kit.
