ASHEVILLE MONTESSORI SCHOOL - Key Persons
Hi! My name is Chase Loveland and my journey with children began in the warmth of my own family, being the eldest of four children. This experience planted the seeds of patience, care, and the discovery of my talents that would develop throughout my life. Then I encountered the Montessori philosophy, a revelation that reshaped my approach to education. It's a method that respects each child's individuality and fosters independence, and it resonated deeply with my own beliefs.
Embracing this methodology, I've dedicated myself to nurturing young minds, guiding them not just academically but morally, instilling values of kindness and consideration. To me, working with children is not just a job; it's a commitment to influence the future positively. It's about building a foundation for significant change in the world, one connection at a time.
The summer of 2024 marked a new chapter in my life as I moved from the historical charm of Charleston, SC, to the vibrant community of Asheville. Here, I continue my mission, bringing with me a heart full of hope and a readiness to positively influence the future. It's a privilege to inspire and be inspired by the young souls I encounter, forging genuine connections that I believe are the essence of a meaningful life.

Hello, my name is Emma Dale and I'm so happy to be working with the wonderful AMS Community! I am originally from the small town of Marion NC, which is 30 miles east of Asheville in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. Since I can remember, I have wanted to work with children, and have had numerous, positive experiences in various professional roles in this capacity. I discovered The Montessori method of education when I moved to Charleston, SC in 2017, and just fell in love with the child-centered educational approach implemented through this method. Before moving back to NC in 2019, I was employed as the Casa Assistant at Sundrops Montessori in Mount Pleasant, SC. I started assisting here at AMS back in 2019. In 2024 I finished my Montessori training at CMTE and this will be my second year leading! Every day I wake up and feel so grateful that I have found a career that I love, and can continue to grow in. When I'm not working I like to spend my time with my family, reading, running, doing yoga, playing my ukulele, or hanging out with my cat.
I'm so excited for the upcoming school year here at AMS!
Hello! I'm Esta Levine and I am thrilled to join Asheville Montessori School as an assistant in Ms. Louanne's classroom. I moved to Asheville, from Florida, over 3 years ago. Montessori-based learning has been an interest of mine since first considering it for my children. Much later, I taught art at two Montessori schools. This is where I saw, first-hand, the caring and respectful teaching given, in the most peaceful environment.
I was fortunate that one of these schools offered parents a Montessori-education class, taught by faculty there. The goal was to supply us with tools to use in the home. Above all else, I learned how important it is to give children the space to think, play, and learn at their pace. The knowledge and methods I learned in that class have stayed with me through raising my children and now my grandchildren. That's why I'm so grateful to be working at AMS.
I have a Bachelor's in Art History and Master's degree in Art Education. I taught elementary art in Pinellas County, FL, until retiring just before moving here. The timing was perfect to follow my daughter, son-in-law, and 2 grandsons to Asheville. One of my sons, and his wife, had moved here 3 years prior. My 2 sisters and father relocated here as well. And a year ago, my other son, his wife, and my 2 granddaughters moved here. So, my whole family is here! I spend most of my time with my grandchildren. When I can, I love to walk, find live music, and work on pottery.
I cannot wait to meet you and get to know your children. I'm excited to be a part of your children's education. It is an honor

I'm Jess! I immediately fell in love with the Montessori philosophy in 2000 when I became an Assistant Teacher in Michigan. I began my Montessori certification at the Center for Montessori Teacher Education in New York in 2004 where I met my now husband who was also a Montessori teacher and trainer. A year later we moved to Asheville and from 2006-2011 I worked at AMS as a lead teacher, only leaving to have my own children. In 2009 my husband and I opened our own school, Montessori Elementary School of Asheville in Woodfin. We served many families, continuing a close connection to the AMS community until we closed in 2020. Watching my children attend AMS was a magicalexperience, knowing they had such a beautiful Montessori foundation to their education. I always knew I would return to my passion for preschool Montessori and am thrilled to become a member of the AMS community once again!
Hello! My name is Louanne Bradley. I have a BA in Commercial Art, I am AMS certified, and I hold a Florida K-6 Teaching Certificate. I have been a Montessori teacher for almost 20 years. When my three girls started at our local Montessori school outside of Atlanta, I instantly fell in love with everything about it! I volunteered at the school and as I learned more, I knew I had to be a part of this amazing philosophy of teaching. After ten years, our family moved to the Florida Keys in 2014 where I worked at a public Montessori Charter School for the next nine years.I enjoy incorporating art and nature into all aspects of the classroom through unit studies. I believe in teaching to the whole child and that physical, emotional, and social intelligence are as important as cognitive abilities. In my personal time, I enjoy being in nature, gardening, diving, fishing, traveling, reading, and spending time with my family. It has been my greatest joy to teach and learn with children everyday and I feel so blessed to now be a part of the AMS community
