He also had an internship in a consulting firm as a research assistant for Turkey G20 summit supply chain examination. He studied in Shanghai Jiao Tong university and majored in eletrical and computer engineering. Brian was also an exchange student in Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, studying computer science and German.

Prior to joining Orbit Startups, Chen worked as a Business Coordinator for an international trade company that specialized in iron ore and steel products. She also has work experience in the consulting industry, Chinese government, and nonprofit organizations. Chen holds a Master's Degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's Degree in International Economics and Trade from The University of Nottingham Ningbo China.

Ching-Ping Lin - COO

Ching-Ping Lin is the Chief Operating Officer of SOSV's Orbit Startups program. Prior to SOSV, Ching-Ping built the first operations and HR team at Dragon Aviation Leasing, a joint venture between China Aviation Supplies and Aercap, and held roles at Amazon.com, McKesson, successfully exited startups Planetall.com and HPR Inc., and early free email startup Freemark Communications. A health informaticist and qualitative researcher by training, she has built digital health systems in rural communities in Uganda, China, and the United States serving the health needs of under-resourced populations. Born and raised in the US, Ching-Ping has lived abroad for 8 years in Beijing, Taipei, and Shanghai. She has a BA in computer science and classics from Bowdoin College, a Ph.D. in biomedical informatics from the University of Washington School of Medicine, and was a post-doctoral fellow at Peking University in global health. Ching-Ping is an International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with a passion for supporting female entrepreneurs and academics.

Claire Ting

Claire is an Investment Operations Specialist for the Orbit Startups program at SOSV. She has a passion for entrepreneurship and innovation and business modelling. She built her own startup when she was still a student and received much of her training in Silicon Valley. Previously, Claire worked with a hedge fund as a trading associate, conducting the analysis and supporting the trades. She holds a bachelor degree in quantitative finance from National Tsing Hua University and a master's degree from Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.

Danny Chen

Danny is a Partnership Specialist at Orbit Startups and is responsible for helping startups expand their businesses. He works with founders to accelerate business connections with multinational corporations and Orbit Startup portfolios. Prior to joining Orbit Startups, Danny has several research-oriented internships in Equity Research and International Banking. The topics he had covered include Indonesian macroeconomics, Japanese and Singaporean listed companies, Taiwan's opportunities in the global unmanned aerial vehicles and advanced air mobility industry, etc. In addition, Danny also worked at Schneider Electric before. He was mainly responsible for pricing analysis and conducting the project of visualizing and automating the model. Danny graduated from National Taiwan University with a BA in Economics. Danny grew up in Tainan. In his free time, he enjoys playing badminton and making coffee.

Daphne Liu

Before joining SOSV, Daphne worked as an executive assistant to the CEO of a locally listed financial group. Here she developed excellent time management and organizational skills. Before this, she worked at a fortune 500 company for over 6 years as a real estate consultant. She has assisted some major projects with many multinational firms in various industries including Amazon, TikTok, BNP Paribas, WPP group and many more. Daphne considers herself to be optimistic, loves to laugh, is always grateful and will always try to bring joy to people around her. A random fact is that her favorite flowers are Sunflowers.

David ‘DC' Collier

David ‘DC' Collier is the CTO of RIKAI Labs, building chat apps for education and entertainment. He is focused on hybrid human + AI user experiences DC has founded four startups in three continents and had two exits. He founded TripMedia in London and had a #1 hit game, relocated to San Francisco to found Gamelet.com which was acquired by PacketVideo Corp. Moved to Tokyo to found Pikkle KK an early mobile social game publisher. Gained investment from Mixi, japan's leading social network, Pikkle was eventually acquired by KLab. Rikai Labs was formed in 2015 to build apps for messaging platforms. We launched TeacherBot on WeChat for Chinese users to learn english from an AI teacher, as well as developing chatbots for companies like VISA and HSBC.
