Colombo International School was founded in 1982, in response to the growing demand for co-educational, English-medium, high quality education in Colombo. From its inception, CIS has been located in Gregory's Road, Colombo 7 (formally known as Cinnamon Gardens), which is one of the most desirable, safe, attractive and quiet residential locations in the city.
