Andrew is the Field Work Coordinator at Charles River Watershed Association (CRWA), where he manages the Earth Day Cleanup and the majority of fieldwork performed over the course of the field season. He is excited to contribute to the effort of closely monitoring the well-being and water quality of the Charles River.
Carrie serves as the Bookkeeper and Office Manager for the CRWA office. She handles all in-house financials, reporting, HR, and office operations.
With over 20 years of accounting and operations experience, she specializes in start-up companies, small businesses and nonprofits. Carrie holds a BA in Environmental Studies from Mount Holyoke College, and began her career working on a Political Action Committee campaign to protect Oregon forests. She is a dedicated member of the Trustees of Reservations, and frequent volunteer of the Dover-Sherborn school district.

Emily has served as Executive Director since August 2018. She previously served as Massachusetts Chapter Director for the Sierra Club where she focused on advocating for stronger renewable energy policies at the state and local level. Prior to that she spent ten years as a research and communications consultant to groups such as Conservation Law Foundation, Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships, Environmental Defense Fund and the US EPA ENERGY STAR Program. Emily also spent several years working in politics as a fundraiser for the Democratic Leadership Council in Washington, D.C. and as Finance Director for a Congressional campaign on Cape Cod.

Heather serves as CRWA's General Counsel and Policy Director, advocating for solutions to the most challenging environmental problems that face the Charles River watershed.
Prior to joining CRWA, Heather was a staff attorney at Conservation Law Foundation, where she worked on high impact climate litigation, fought for public access to the waterfront, and advocated for increased climate resiliency. Heather started her legal career as a fellow at Defenders of Wildlife in Washington, DC and then as an associate at the Southern Environmental Law Center in Charleston, SC. Heather earned her B.S. from Clemson University and J.D. from Georgetown Law. She has also participated in UMass Boston's Emerging Leaders Program.

Julie works closely with the executive director and staff to take on the many issues the river and watershed residents face as we confront a changing climate. Julie oversees CRWA's science program which includes Climate Change Adaptation, Stormwater, Field Science, and Education/Outreach. Julie provides support for CRWA's advocacy work, analyzing CRWA's research and data to inform organizational strategies and reviewing project or permit applications. Julie often presents CRWA's work at conferences, with local officials or committees, and at public events.
Julie ran CRWA's Field Science program from 2008 to 2014, and served as Director of the Science Program from 2014 to 2019. Prior to joining CRWA, Julie was an AmeriCorps volunteer with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources where she participated in water quality monitoring, and stream surveying and restoration. She also worked as a Program Educator for the New England Aquarium.

Sarah serves as CRWA's Development Director. Working closely with the Executive Director and development team, she oversees CRWAs fundraising programs, campaigns, special events, and community outreach to help promote resilient communities and a healthy river ecosystem.
Sarah has over 20+ years of experience in communications, development, and brand management and has a strong passion for the environment. She holds a BA in Interior Architecture and a BS in Environmental Engineering. During her undergraduate studies, she served as a Physical Science Technician intern for the US EPA, Region 9, and became a licensed EIT. Sarah then went on to gain an MS, MPhil, and PhD in Environmental Engineering from Yale University, where she researched the impact of indoor microbiology on human health in the Cherokee Nation.
Sarah is the proud mother of two highly creative children with whom she frequently can be seen swimming in our local lakes and rivers. She also enjoys expressing her creativity through her wheel-thrown and hand-built pottery projects.
