The Legislative Committee shall consist of the chair of the legislative committees of each of the affiliated groups. The WACO Vice-President is the Chair of the Legislative Committee. The President shall appoint a co-chair from among the membership of the Association to serve with the Vice-President.
The Audit Committee shall consist of not less than 3 and not more than 5 members of the Association appointed by the President. In no case may current members of the Board of Trustees comprise a majority of the members of the Audit Committee. Executive Officers (other than the Secretary/Treasurer) are not eligible to serve on the Audit Committee, including the President who shall not serve as an ex-officio member. The WACO Secretary/Treasurer serves as Chair of the committee.

The NEO Committee, in consultation with WACO staff, will plan the structure, schedule, and topics to be featured at the quadrennial Newly Elected Officials (NEO) Conference. This conference is held every four years and serves as a networking and education event for county officials newly elected to their role and office.
