Paul Beaureguard - CTO, President

Job Titles:
  • CTO
  • President
Paul began his journey into the world of electronics at the age of 17 when he started working for a car audio and security company in high school. This hobby turned into a full time technician position then into an obsession. He began building competition vehicles for several electronics manufacturers and himself. Too much of anything can be a bad thing. This lesson learned he then ventured into commercial photography and soon there after commercial lighting. The opportunity to get into the residential systems integration business came rather unexpectedly while running into an old high school friend at a punk rock show in Dallas. In 1993 Paul agreed to partner up with his friend and form Imago Design Inc. First day on the job he was thrown into the fire when asked to install and program one of the first Lutron Homeworks systems in Texas. The passion for this business began that day. Imago Inc was purchased and sold several times over and he soon became part of a international company leading in residential electronics design and installations. His positions encompassed all aspects from technician to project manager to programmer to service call technician to systems designer. After many years of learning the industry from every angle Paul decided to form Design Engineering Group in the fall of 2001. Taking the knowledge he had from those years of experience he knew that for DEG to thrive it's main focus needed to be on the Client and it still is today.
