Anne Deeter

Anne Deeter is the Executive Director of Planning, Grants and Foundation Relations. She is responsible for leading Dominican's government, foundation and corporate grant management and advancement program, building partnerships and securing investments in support of university strategic priorities. She coordinates the grants cycle across all phases, from pre-award development to post-award management and reporting. Ms. Deeter leads the university's strategic, integrated planning efforts, ensuring the development and progress monitoring of the strategic plan. She joined Dominican University in 2011 and has served the university in a variety of roles, including Director of Continuous Improvement in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and most recently as Executive Director of Planning and Special Assistant to the President. Prior to Dominican, Anne served as an independent evaluation, assessment and accreditation consultant to universities and non-profit agencies for over 15 years. Anne began her career in student affairs and higher education administration, holding senior leadership positions, including Dean of Students at Rosary College. She held other student affairs roles at Case Western Reserve University, Baldwin-Wallace University, and Harper College. She holds a B.A. in Business Administration from St. Norbert College and a M.A. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Bowling Green State University. Anne lives in Park Ridge and enjoys spending time with family, friends and visiting her daughter, son and daughter-in-law who live across the country and the world.

As Dominican University's COO and Senior VP, Mr. Balcazar is charged with leading the enrollment and marketing efforts of an institution that has nearly doubled in size over the last two decades. Along with running all aspects of undergraduate and graduate enrollment, Genaro is responsible for managing Dominican University's institutional brand, Department of Athletics and One-stop-shop "Stars Connect." In his nearly 30 year higher education career, Mr. Balcazar has held numerous leadership roles at four Chicago area institutions in the fields of enrollment management, admissions & marketing and systems and operations amongst others. Genaro has served as an admissions counselor, director of admissions, director of enrollment systems and operations along with serving as vice president of enrollment and marketing at two institutions.

Glena G. Temple joined Dominican University as its 11th president on August 2, 2021. Prior to Dominican, Glena served as the president of Viterbo University. Glena was appointed as president in 2017, and served Viterbo in a number of leadership roles for almost 20 years. She also served as dean of online and distance education for the University of Wisconsin Colleges, a unit of the University of Wisconsin System, and, earlier in her career, taught at Anoka-Ramsey Community College in Minnesota and Victor Valley College in California. MaryAnn Janosik

MaryAnn Janosik joined Dominican University as Interim Provost January 8, 2024. Throughout her career, she has served as Provost/Chief Academic Officer at several institutions, including St. Joseph College (IN) and, most recently, Harper College in Palatine, IL. She has also held leadership roles at Standford University, Oakton College, St. Catherine University (MN) and Ohio University. MaryAnn received her Ph.D. in American Social History and Policy from Case Western Reserve University and holds a master's degree in history (Cleveland State University) and an AB with High Honors in History (Oberlin College). Before moving into higher education administration, she was the Director of Education at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. Her research and teaching have been recognized with several awards, including First Place, Excellence in Research and Writing from the National Catholic Press Association for her monograph, "Madonnas in Our Midst: Representations of Women Religious in Hollywood Film," and the Roger and Anne Clapp Award for "Excellence in Teaching." Her book The Video Generation, was published by Greenwood Press as part of its history of rock series. MaryAnn is from Cleveland, OH and is a lifelong Cleveland Guardians fan. She is a classically trained organist and vocalist and enjoys reading, traveling, and going to movies and concerts. She also holds certification as a Zumba instructor.

Roberta McMahon is the Chief of Staff and oversees strategic initiatives on behalf of the Office of the President. She has served Dominican University in various capaciteis over the years, including as the Executive Director of Human Resources at Dominican University from 2006-2023. She was also the Assistant Dean in the Brennan School of Business from 1999-2005. During her brief period away from DU, she was a Manager of Human Resources at RSM McGladrey, a mid-sized public accounting firm. Her previous HR experiences focused on recruiting, training and development, and employee relations at the Midwest Stock Exchange (now known as NYSE Chicago) and Experian, a data analytics and consumer credit reporting company. Since December 2021, Roberta has also served as the Board Secretary to the Dominican University Board of Trustees. Roberta graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor's Degree in English and earned a Master of Education in Student Development from American University in Washington, DC. She and her husband, R. J., were long-time River Forest residents, raising their two kids just down the street from the main gates. They have since "relocated" to Forest Park and enjoy visiting their kids in Oakland, California and New York City, and love a Friday afternoon at Wrigley. Sara M. Acosta joined Dominican University as Vice President of University Advancement in June, 2019. Prior to Dominican, she served as Associate Vice President of Development at DePaul University, overseeing College and School based major giving efforts and working closely with academic partners on funding initiatives.
