Economics is a quantitative social science that offers students diverse options to achieve a liberal arts education while also meeting specific career preparation goals. Core training in theory and quantitative methods combined with focused course concentrations prepare students for careers in business, public policy work in state and federal government, jobs in international organizations, graduate study in economics and other social sciences, quantitative finance, data science, law and other fields... The Economics Department offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Among the most popular at Rutgers, our undergraduate offerings include a Major and Minor in Economics, an Economics Honors Program, and a variety of certificate programs.
