The Eberly College of Arts and Sciences is the heart of West Virginia University, awarding degrees to approximately 2,000 students every year. Formally created in 1895, the Eberly College provides students with a liberal arts education in the areas of literature and the humanities, mathematics, natural sciences and social and behavioral sciences.
