ERIC BASSETT MEMORIAL

The Eric Bassett Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in December, 2007 to honor Eric's memory in a positive way by providing Cypress area students with financial assistance to pursue education after high school. The scholarship fund awards a $20,000 scholarship annually. The first scholarship was awarded in May 2008 to Eric's Cy-Falls High School classmate and team mate Blake Billings... Eric Bassett was born April 19, 1990 in Lafayette, Louisiana. He moved with his family to Houston in early 1991. He grew up in the Cypress area, attending Adam Elementary School, Arnold Middle School and Cy-Falls High School. Eric passed away in a tragic auto accident on Sunday, December 2nd, 2007 at the age of seventeen.
