Captain Chris Shearman's 35 years experience in Marine Surveying began with six years in the British Merchant Navy on commercial salvage ships, where he quickly became promoted to Chief Officer. Chris then transitioned to private yachts in Mallorca Spain where he worked as Boson, First Mate and Delivery Captain/ Engineer on sail and power boats around the Mediterranean and across the Atlantic, Caribbean and USA with over 200,000 sea miles. He expanded his expertise to include project managing the building and refitting of power and sailing yachts to class with Lloyds of London, Germinsher Lloyds, American Bureau of Shipping, and ABYC. He has built and refitted yachts in aluminum, steel, fiberglass and wood. Christopher's experience in surveying both sailing and motor vessels from 20 ft to over 200 ft makes him one of the most knowledgeable surveyors in the marine industry.
