Chad Dayton

Chad Dayton is a passionate and seasoned outdoor educator. Having taught college English and writing for nearly a decade, Chad transitioned to outdoor education in 2009. Chad has worked as a field instructor for NOLS, an instructor for the Wilderness Medicine Institute (NOLS), and Wilderness Inquiry - a Minneapolis-based international non-profit where he developed the national youth engagement program known as the Canoemobile. Chad also teaches courses on outdoor programming and environmental and place-based education for the University of Minnesota. Dr. Adriana Alejandro Osorio

Dr. Adriana Alejandro Osorio is a social justice leader and stands fearlessly firm on issues affecting children around the world. She has spent her career in the nonprofit and philanthropy sector, leading efforts that advance global health and development and amplify children's rights in the U.S. and abroad. At the Child Friendly Governance Project, Adriana spearheads the mobilization of resources that co-create and catalyze solutions benefitting children by strengthening child-friendly governance at all levels of society. She develops partnerships and business opportunities, leading the implementation of the organization's fundraising strategy. Previously, she headed high net-worth development efforts, stewarded one of the first UNICEF Child Friendly Cities in the United States, cultivated private sector partnerships advancing the Sustainable Development Goals, and made targeted investments in the development of new tools and strategies to reduce the burden of infectious disease and the leading causes of child mortality in developing countries. A native of the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, and having lived in Dutch St. Maarten, she considers the Caribbean the most sacred of places, and learned so much from the rivers and waterfalls and beaches that are located in the islands that saw her grow up. Her formal education, however, is her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the Universidad de Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras and her Ph.D. in Biomolecular Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dr. Lynn Broaddus

Lynn Broaddus, president of Broadview Collaborative, Inc., serves as a strategic advisor and facilitator for private sector, nonprofit and philanthropic clients throughout North America, and is known for bringing new ways of thinking to the crucial water and climate challenges of our day. She is recognized for advancing concepts of distributed water infrastructure, for her 2019 report "Opportunities in Distributed Water Infrastructure (link is external)" and for her leadership of "Charting New Waters," a six-year dialogue convened by The Johnson Foundation at Wingspread, bringing hundreds of leaders to address U.S. water sustainability and resiliency. Earlier in her career she held leadership roles with Milwaukee Riverkeeper®, The Nature Conservancy and NatureServe. She earned her Ph.D. from Duke University, her M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and her bachelor's degree in environmental sciences from the University of Virginia. Lynn is also a past board member/board president of the Water Environment Federation, River Network, River Alliance of Wisconsin, the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, and a former non-resident senior fellow with the Brookings Institution. Lynn is a native Virginian, who has lived in (and loved!) Minneapolis since 2017. FMR Involvement: Lynn joined the board in 2023. Education: Lynn earned her doctorate from Duke University in Evolutionary Biology, her MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and her bachelor's degree in environmental sciences from the University of Virginia. Interests or hobbies: Gardening (native plants and edibles) and landscape restoration, reading, bicycling, camping, paddling/rowing, and experiencing American prison life through the eyes of the incarcerated.

Ronnie Brooks is the founding director of the James P. Shannon Leadership Institute, a program of the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation, providing a yearlong renewal experience for foundation and nonprofit organization leaders. When working in state government, Ronnie served as director of research for the Senate Majority and as special assistant to the Governor as well as on the Minnesota Environmental Quality Board.
