HILLSBORO CHRISTIAN SCHOOL - Key Persons

Mr. Everett Connor - Treasurer

Job Titles:
  • Treasurer
Mr. Connor accepted Christ as his personal Savior at 7 or 8 years old after attending VBS at First Baptist Church in Contoocook where his parents had been taking him to church since his birth. He met his wife, Barbara while studying for an associates degree in Electronics Technology at Modesto Junior College, Modesto, CA, and they were married in 1977. He and his family joined what was then called Messiah Baptist Church in the summer of 1984. Messiah Baptist was renamed Hillsboro Baptist Church shortly after. He has held several official positions with the church since 1986. He felt called to take on the position of administrator with HCS in February, 2015 when Dr. Easton retired (again). He came to that position with no specific educational background, trusting God to lead and supply.

Mr. Stephen Criner

Job Titles:
  • Shop Class Teacher

Mr. Stephen Gaylord

Job Titles:
  • Administrator
I grew up in church all my life and made a profession of faith to the Lord when I was 3 years old. As I went through my teen years I questioned my faith, whether it was real or not. I married my wife Jennifer in 2002 and in 2007 I reconfirmed my commitment to the Lord. After that we had 4 beautiful children and have gotten more involved in the church. My children have all attended HCS since K4 except our youngest who is not old enough to be in school yet. I have a desire to see this school succeed as I believe it is one of the most important ministries of our church. I came to HCS in a volunteer role following the illness of our former Administrator Mr Connor. I moved into the role of Administrator in December of 2021. Mr Connor has been and continues to be a great mentor to me as I learn the ins and outs of Administration. I'm happy to serve the Lord wherever He wants me and thank Him for guiding and directing my life and the lives of my family.

Mrs. Ashley May

Job Titles:
  • Teacher
As a teenager I was blessed with the opportunity to join a mission trip to Zihuatanejo, Mexico. The goal was to dig a trench for a retaining wall behind their small school, to block the children from the expressway. In addition, we would put on scripture based plays and deliver clean, bottled water to the local families. What a humbling experience! My husband Brandon and I have been together since 2008. We have 4 amazing children, two girls, 15 and 7 as well as 4 year old twin boys. Our youngest daughter and twins attend Hillsboro Christian School. It wasn't until 2020 that Brandon and I found Hillsboro Baptist Church, and I was finally saved and dedicated my life to the Lord. In 2022 I was called to serve at HCS as a 2nd grade teacher. I am beyond blessed to be able to serve the Lord in such a rewarding way.

Mrs. Christine Piatt

Job Titles:
  • Lead Teacher
I was born in New York City and was a child of the 60s. Just as many of the young people of the 60s, I searched for love, peace, and joy in all the wrong places. I delved into eastern religions, lived on a commune, attended Woodstock, and sought psychiatric help for my deep depression. After years of searching and some terrible consequences of the sin I was involved in, I was saved through the reading of the Gospel of John, and my life was gloriously changed!! At the time I was attending Hunter College in New York and teaching at their Elementary school. After our salvation, my husband and I moved to New Hampshire. Desiring to serve the Lord, I taught 1 st grade and kindergarten at Community Christian Academy in Hillsboro in the early 1980s. In 1985 I began homeschooling my children and continued to do so over the next 15 years. My two youngest children then attended Trinity Christian School while I worked in the Special Ed department at Rundlett Middle School in Concord. I loved my work at Rundlett Middle School but in 2003, the Lord called me to Hillsboro Christian School. I have taught elementary through high school. It has been a joy and blessing to be a part of this ministry and to work with our wonderful staff and administration. I continue to serve at HCS offering my help wherever it is needed.

Born in Havana, Cuba to Lazarus and Olga Fabat, I came to the U.S. when I was five years old. Being an only child had its benefits, but I remember always asking my parents for siblings. Maybe this is why I love being around children so much even now. I grew up loving art and went to several art schools. Growing up I had always wanted to be an art teacher. When I graduated high school I moved to Boston on a scholarship to The Art Institute of Boston. I lived in Boston for several years. The Lord blessed me and my husband with two children, Grace and Joseph. We decided to move to New Hampshire to try and give our children a safe and conservative
