Adam Bennett joined UM in August 2023 as the Head Football Athletic Trainer.
Prior to UM, Bennett worked at Special Operations Command Headquarters at Macdill Airfoce Base in Tampa, Fla. From 2017-2021, Bennett was the Head Football Athletic Trainer at Florida Atlantic University. Bennett also spent time at the University of Minnesota in 2016 as an assistant athletic trainer and as an assistant athletic trainer at FAU in 2015. Bennett also completed two NFL internships with the Tampa Bay Bucanners (2014) and Houston Texans (2011).
Bennett graduated from FSU in 2012 with a B.S. in Athletic Training before earning his M.S from University of Southern Miss in Sports Management in 2014.
Bennett is a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer, an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a NSCA Certified Performance Sports Specialist.
Bennett lives in Miami with his fiancée, Sam, and their bulldog.

Adam Jensen joined the University of Miami Athletics Department as an Account Executive in April 2023. Jensen is responsible for generating new business through consumer and corporate revenue streams. Prior to joining the Hurricanes, Jensen served as an Inside Sales Executive with the LA Clippers.
Jensen spent time growing up in both Portland, Ore. and Greenville, S.C. He graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor's degree in Business Management, where he served as a student manager for the men's basketball team. Jensen will be starting his masters at the University of Miami in the Fall of 2023.

Adriana Logan, MSAL, ATC, currently serves as the associate athletic trainer for the University of Miami volleyball and golf team. Prior to her current role, Logan worked as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Mississippi working with the track and field team for five years and the women's soccer team for three years. Logan spent two years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Seattle University working with numerous varsity athletic teams including the women's volleyball team, women's softball team, and men's and women's track and cross country teams. Logan received her master's degree in Sport Administration and Leadership from Seattle University in 2015, where she conducted qualitative research in the movement of female athletic trainers becoming head athletic trainers at the division one level.
Logan received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Valdosta State University in May of 2013. While at Valdosta State, Logan was named most outstanding athletic training major and served as an undergraduate intern for the Lehigh Sports Medicine department, directly working with the men's lacrosse team.
An active member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Logan currently holds a national athletic training certification through the NATABOC. She has certification in CPR/AED, dry needling and is also Graston technique trained.
A native of Evans, Ga., Logan currently resides in Miami with her cats, Slinky and Taco.

Alecia Behrens was named to her current role of Manager of Consumer Marketing in December 2023.
In her role, she develops and executes digital marketing strategies through the web, email, and mobile app channels for all ticketed sports and the Miami Hurricanes merchandise store.
Behrens joined the University of Miami's Athletic Department in January 2023 as a Digital Marketing Specialist.
Behrens served as a sales and marketing associate through the McClendon Foundation at the University of Miami Athletics Department from July 2022 - January 2023, where she worked alongside various teams, including the Consumer Marketing, Sales, Client Experience, and Event Marketing teams.
Prior to interning and working at Miami, Behrens was a sports marketing and fan engagement intern at Florida State University's Athletics Department and a sports marketing intern at Univision's sports channel, TUDN.
Behrens graduated from Florida State University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a minor in Retail and Entrepreneurship.

Alejandro Benites joined the University of Miami in 2021 as the assistant video coordinator. Benites' duties for the Hurricanes include providing coaches and players with both opponent and self-scout film, managing an inventory of over 125 iPads and coordinating a team of student assistants.
Benites joined Miami after a three-year stint at the University of Central Florida as a student video intern from 2018 to 2020. In 2020, Benites coached at Orlando Christian Prep where he helped lead the team to a SSAC 3A state Championship as the co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach.
Benites earned a bachelor's degree in sports and exercise science from UCF in 2020.

Ali Golden is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background in law and athletics. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Business Operations for Athletics at the University of Miami, Golden has been instrumental in managing various aspects of the department's operations since her arrival in August 2018. Prior to this role, she gained valuable experience as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Florida Third District Court of Appeal, where she honed her legal skills and contributed to the efficient functioning of the court.
Golden's legal experience extends beyond her time at the Court of Appeal. She has also worked as an Associate Attorney at Beltran Brito LLP, where she represented individuals in immigration matters and conducted legal research on a variety of complex issues. Additionally, Golden has interned at the Law Offices of Chicago-Kent, Immigration Clinic, where she interviewed clients to determine eligibility for immigration programs and drafted various applications.
With a strong educational background, Golden holds a Juris Doctor degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from the University of Florida.

Alicia Simpson was hired into her current role as the Athletics Department's Receptionist in February 2022 to work the front desk of the Hecht Athletic Center.
In April 2023, Simpson was awarded the inaugural Unsung Hero Award - the lone staff award at Hurricane Honors. This award is presented to an individual who unequivocally impacts the athletic department, their team or others from behind the scenes. They do so with a positive attitude and a strong willingness to help without wanting recognition for themselves.
Prior to her current full-time position, Simpson served in a part-time position working many different athletic events and providing security when needed. The Miami native started working at the University of Miami in 2011 for various event staffing companies at the Watsco Center.

Allison Ross joined the University of Miami in August 2023 as the Assistant Athletic Trainer with track and field/cross country. Prior to coming to Miami, Ross worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer with track and field/cross country at the University of Louisville for two years.
A 2019 graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Ross earned a master's degree in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences with a concentration in Sports Medicine from Pitt in 2021. At Pitt, she spent two years in track and field/cross country as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer. She also provided interim coverage with football, men's and women's basketball, swimming and diving, and gymnastics while with the Panthers.
A native of York, Pa., Ross is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and USA Track and Field. She is a licensed Athletic Trainer in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Florida. She holds certifications in Functional Dry Needling levels one and two, Foundations of Joint Manipulation, and Mulligan Manual Therapy Concept for the lower quarter.

Amber Kingsley joined the University of Miami in July 2022 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer working with the established Swim and Dive program. Prior to coming to Miami, Kingsley worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Swim and Dive team at the University of South Carolina.
A native of Elgin, Minn., Kingsley graduated from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. She then spent two years working at South Carolina where she received her Master's degree in Advanced Athletic Training.
Kingsley is certified in Graston Module 1 and first aid/CPR along with being a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association.

A 20-year veteran in fundraising for the University of Miami, Amy Ferguson returned to her athletics roots in February of 2023. In her current role, Ferguson focuses on major gifts and principal gifts across all athletics initiatives with a focus on generating support for the Football Operations Center.
Ferguson started her career with the Canes in 2003 with the Athletic Development team. She was consistently promoted, moving into a senior staff role in 2008 as Assistant Athletic Director, overseeing all Hurricane Club and annual giving operations. Ferguson's efforts led to significant annual giving growth in her first three years of oversight, exceeding goals by 54% in year three. In 2012, Ferguson joined the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Development Team at the Miller School of Medicine. While at Sylvester, she raised over $15 million for cancer research while overseeing a team of major gift officers. Ferguson then returned to the Coral Gables campus in June of 2019 and shifted her focus to raising funds for the College of Arts and Sciences, once again working collaboratively with faculty and colleagues to strategically meet and surpass critical giving goals in support of the College's fundraising efforts.
Ferguson got her start in college athletics at Wofford College before moving on to the University of Connecticut. Prior to coming to the University of Miami in 2003, she also served as the Community Relations Manager for an NBA Development League team.
A native of Clemson, S.C., Ferguson earned her degree from Clemson University in 1995. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Miami and supports various charities, including Dolphins Challenge Cancer, Kristi House, and Red Cross.

Andrew Papaefthemiou was promoted to Senior Director in July 2023.
Papaefthemiou has been in the sports industry for 20 years in various capacities. Currently, Papaefthemiou manages corporate sponsorships for UM Athletics through Legends. Prior to his arrival at University of Miami / Legends in Fall 2021, he was the General Manager of FIU Athletics Sponsorships through Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment. Before his time at FIU, Papaefthemiou was the Director of Partnership Marketing/Media Sales with Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (Denver Nuggets).
Papaefthemiou started his career in basketball operations/athletic administration at schools within each of the NCAA's three divisions. He then transitioned to sports sponsorships, including managing partnerships at other DI athletic programs and conferences including Lehigh, the Patriot League and Seton Hall.

Angela Napolitano joined the Miami sport medicine team in August of 2022 as the Athletic Training Fellow in charge of the Men's Tennis team. She works closely with doctors, strength coaches, and sport nutritionists to keep her athletes on the courts and as happy and health as possible.
Prior to moving to Miami, Napolitano attended Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania. She received her bachelor's degree in health science in 2020 and her masters of athletic training in May 2022. During her time as a student, she worked in the campus rehabilitation center and provided clinical care for a variety of sports teams including football, basketball, wrestling, and baseball. Napolitano also spent time at Arizona State University as an intern for woman's gymnastics and men's and women's tennis during the 2021-2022 season.
Napolitano was born and raised on Long Island, N.Y. and played volleyball at the Division II level.

Prior to joining the University of Miami, Conrath was the Director of Facilities and Operations for Oregon State University athletics. Conrath has also previously been a part of the University of Central Florida and Tulane University Facilities and Event Operations staffs.

Anthony Fortier joined the University of Miami in August 2023 as the Associate Director of Equipment Operations working with the Football program. Fortier arrived at Miami from the University of Texas at San Antonio where he served as the Assistant Athletics Director for Equipment Operations. Prior to UTSA, Fortier was the Director of Equipment Operations at the University of Tulsa.
A native of Palm City, Fla., Fortier graduated from Florida Atlantic University in June 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a Minor in History. Fortier also received a Master's in History from the University of Tulsa in July 2019.
Fortier is a certified Athletic Equipment Manager and received a certificate in the Fundamentals of Global Sports Management from New York University in May 2020.

Avery Gawel began her position as Learning Specialist and Tutor Coordinator at the University of Miami in May 2023.
Gawel has been working for the University of Miami Athletic Department since 2021 when she worked as an academic mentor and tutor for student-athletes. Since attaining her undergraduate degree, she has continued to work with Academic Services as a Learning Specialist Intern for both Football and Olympic Sports and now as a Learning Specialist and Tutor Coordinator.
In her three and a half years as a student at The U, Gawel was an active member of the Miami Motion Dance Team, the Engagement, Power and Social Action Research Team, the Chi Omega Fraternity, and the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. Throughout her undergraduate career, she maintained President's Honor Roll, Provost's Honor Roll, and Dean's List status.
As a Learning Specialist, Gawel is responsible for delivering comprehensive academic support services to high-academic-risk student athletes. She monitors the grades and academic progress of a caseload of student-athletes and provides support through exam preparation, advancing learning skills and strategies and the development of individualized academic success plans.
A native of Ada, Mich., Gawel earned her Bachelor of Science in Education in Human and Social Development and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with minors in Dance and Mathematics, graduating with summa cum laude honors from the University of Miami in December 2022.

Betty Pina joined Athletics in 2023 and currently serves as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President & Director of Athletics and Senior Deputy Athletic Directors. She has held different positions within two of Miami's schools and colleges and has worked in various senior leadership offices since 2011.

Blake Postma was hired as Assistant Director of Academic Advising for Football at the University of Miami in the Fall of 2023.
Prior to the University of Miami, Postma spent the last 13 years as a Learning Specialist at the University of Oregon. In this capacity, Postma had a significant impact on the academic progress and development with the football and men's basketball programs. Notably Postma guided the men's basketball program to a perfect 1000 APR in 2021-2022. Postma provided academic support in individual and group sessions, trained and supervised tutor cohorts on instructional strategies, lead bridge workshops, while also working with post-eligible student athletes toward degree completion.
Before the University of Oregon, Postma served as a graduate assistant in the Academic Performance Center at West Virginia University. In this role, he assisted in providing academic services to 18 varsity teams including the tutorial program, textbook distribution, general academic advising, and the annual academic awards and honor roll banquet. Postma also worked with student athletes in the WVU Academic Success Program providing instruction on fundamental learning strategies, note-taking, test-taking, and time management skills to foster academic success.
Postma started his career serving as a Learning Coordinator in the University of Michigan football program. In this position, Postma played an integral role in the academic success of student-athletes by facilitating academic services and collaborating closely with academic staff and administration. Prior to this he served as a student manager for the Michigan football program.
Originally from Holland, Michigan, Postma received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan and his MA in Community Counseling from West Virginia University.

Bradley Canfield began his full-time role with the Miami Hurricanes Athletics Production Services department in January 2018.
Canfield currently serves as the primary broadcast producer for the ACC Network and other internal athletic events on campus on both a linear and digital basis. Canfield, who was hired as a Video Producer, was promoted to Director of Production Services in June 2021. Previously, he served as a Manager of Production Services from 2019-2021
The East Setauket, NY native, is also responsible for producing studio-based digital content to enhance fan experience and engagement. He has also produced the Hurricanes coaches shows since 2017. He has produced programs such as Hurricanes Gameday, a 2-hour special pre-game show during the 2020 football season.
Prior to joining production services in a full-time capacity, Canfield served as a student broadcast assistant from 2015-2018. He also served as a football videographer where he shot practices on Greentree Practice Fields and games from the sideline of Hard Rock Stadium from 2015-2017.
A 2017 graduate of Miami, he holds a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism. As a student, Canfield served as an Executive Producer on the UMTV program SportsDesk, a weekly 30-minute student run show focused on Miami sports news.

Brenden Seki, a San Diego, CA native, joined the University of Miami in July 2023 as a Sports Physical Therapy Resident to work with numerous sports.
Brenden is a licensed physical therapist joining UM after graduating with his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. He recently finished working with Northwestern football spending four months as a student physical therapist and two months as a strength and conditioning intern. During those 6 months, Brenden was able to specialize in the return-to-play process and spent time focusing on speed mechanics within the RTP process for short- and long-term rehabilitation.
Brenden is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, gaining experience in the strength and conditioning field at EXOS San Diego for a little over two years prior to beginning PT school. He was able to assist with three NFL combine training classes and off-season preparation for multiple levels of a variety of sports.

Brian Campbell joined the University of Miami in May of 2023 as Assistant Vice President for Athletics Development. In this role, Brian has oversight of fundraising operations, programs, and the development team for Miami Athletics. Brian came to UM from his alma mater, the United States Air Force Academy, where he had spent the previous five years, beginning in 2018 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Development and finishing as the Executive Director of Development for Strategic Programs and Athletic Giving.
At Air Force, Brian was responsible for the fundraising strategy and execution for athletic capital projects, endowments, and major giving, in addition to other revenue generating initiatives. He also served as the liaison to the Air Force Academy Foundation Board of Director's Athletic Committee. The academy experienced unprecedented fundraising success during Brian's time at USAFA - most notably completing a $270 million campaign nearly 18-months ahead of schedule, headlined by multiple record-breaking years of fundraising.
As part of the campaign, Brian led a $37.5 million fundraising effort to support the $90+ million modernization of the east side of Falcon Stadium. Additionally, he managed the philanthropic component of a $500 million public-private partnership to develop a new hotel and visitors center outside USAFA's north gate. Other accomplishments during this stretch included a lead gift to launch the renovation of Air Force's baseball venue, Falcon Field, and building the Wayne Baughman Wrestling Endowment, which seeks to provide operational funding for Air Force Wrestling in perpetuity.
Brian brings 15 years of organizational leadership experience to UM from multiple sectors. He rose to the rank of captain in the US Air Force, then climbed to the partner level at Anheuser-Busch InBev where he led the sales and marketing efforts for the Northwest region, including several of the largest sports and entertainment partnerships in the portfolio.
In each of the communities he's lived in, Brian has supported local initiatives - serving on the boards of the National Football Foundation of Colorado, the Missouri Veterans Initiative, and the Boys and Girls Club of Alton, Illinois. He was a football student-athlete at the Air Force Academy and earned his MBA from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.
Brian and his wife, Lauren, have two daughters.

Brian Susskind serves as a Senior Account Manager of Membership Service. In his role, Susskind implements world-class customer service standards for all Hurricane season ticket holders and facilitates gameday experience for all home football, baseball, and men's and women's basketball games.
Susskind joined the University of Miami Athletics Department as a Client Experience Specialist in August of 2023.
Prior to joining UM, Susskind worked as an Account Executive with Taymar Sales U. at the University of Connecticut.
The South Florida native attended Florida State University where he graduated with his bachelor's degree in criminology before going on to attain an MBA in sport management from Florida Atlantic University.

Brianna Boyd joined the Miami Hurricanes staff in August 2023 to work with the Rowing team. Prior to arriving in Miami, Boyd completed two seasons as the Athletic Training Fellow for the University of Michigan's Men's and Women's Tennis teams.
A native of the DFW metroplex in Texas, Boyd graduated from the University of Michigan in 2022 with a master's degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Movement Science. Prior to her time with the Wolverines, Boyd earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Texas State University in 2020.

Brock McMichael returns to Miami, working as the sports scientist for baseball. Brock is currently completing his masters in kinesiology with a concentration in sport & exercise science.
Prior to accepting this position with the Hurricanes, McMichael attended Western Illinois University as a sports performance graduate assistant.
While completing his graduate studies, McMichael was the head strength and conditioning coach for baseball, women's basketball and track & field, along with assisting with the football team.

Bryan Hicks joined The U as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the football and golf teams in the spring of 2023. Before coming to Miami, he was a seasonal intern athletic trainer for the Denver Broncos football and cheerleading teams for the 2022 season and had a preseason intern stint with the Minnesota Vikings in 2021. Hicks also spent 2019-2022 as an athletic trainer on the Bethune-Cookman University medical staff.
Originally from Bloomfield, N.J., he attended King's College where he earned a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training and played four years of football. Dakota Jordan is in his first season as assistant director of equipment with the Miami Hurricanes football program.
Jordan arrived to Miami after spending two seasons at Temple as assistant equipment manager. Prior to his time with the Owls, Jordan spent two seasons as a graduate intern in football operations at Baylor University.
Jordan graduated from Pacific Union College in 2017 and earned his master's degree from Baylor in December 2018.

Megan Whalen is new to the U, joining the department in October of 2023.
Currently she works as a Learning Specialist and Tutor Coordinator, engaging with an assigned population of student-athletes to promote academic eligibility.
Prior to joining the University of Miami, Megan worked at the University of Central Florida. There, she served as an Academic Advisor in the College of Health Professions and Sciences. Previously, she worked within UCF's Athletic Department as a student mentor/learning assistant.
She received her Bachelor's in Human Communication in 2020 and her Master's in Career and Technical Education in 2022. Continuing her education, she has completed two graduate certificates: Academic Advising and Student-Athlete Support Services; she is in pursuit of a graduate certificate in Special Education.
