Founded in 2003 by a group of dedicated parents, JSerra has a lay, self-appointing Board of Directors that provides strategic direction for the school with a distinct entrepreneurial spirit. Named after the recently canonized St. Junípero Serra, the school's mission aligns with that of its patron who devoted his life to promoting faith and education through the founding of various missions along the coast of California during the 18 th century.
