Andrey Alexandrov heads the firm's Employment and Immigration practice. Prior to joining KP in 2008, Andrey Alexandrov served as a legal adviser at the Legal and International Legal Affairs Directorate with the State Commission on Information Security.
Andrey has significant experience in social security matters, structuring of employment contracts in the context of large international groups, monitoring of compliance with employment, anti-discrimination among others. Additionally, he is highly regarded for his impeccable skills in employment litigation on matters ranging from professional injuries to mass dismissal.

Angel Rizov joined Kambourov & Partners as an intern back in 2006. He is a key member of the firm's Corporate and M&A practice, as well as part of the dispute resolution team. Angel supports clients with comprehensive advice on company incorporation, corporate management and control, M&As, corporate reorganisations, and also counts on solid experience in all types of individual claims in various areas of business law, including banking and finance, corporate and commercial, insurance, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards.

Atanas Shopov is a senior partner and the head of the firm's Real Estate & Construction practice. He joined Kambourov & Partners in 2004 and has led some of the firm's most important development and construction projects.
Atanas works side by side with project companies, investors, financing institutions, retailers, office developers, hotel chains, energy, transport, and infrastructure companies, supporting them throughout the development and realization of their projects.

Dimitar Alexandrov joined Kambourov & Partners as an intern in 2006. He is a key member of the Real Estate & Construction department, with solid exprtise in large-scale development and construction projects. Irena Petkova joined Kambourov & Partners in 2010. Irena is a proven expert and key member of the firm's Energy and Natural Resources team with broad experience over the last ten years.
Her work covers all possible energy aspects, including nuclear, electricity generation, transmission, supply and distribution, trade, gas, oil, mining and renewable energy resources, regulatory, litigation.
Ivan Raykov joined Kambourov & Partners in 2021. Prior to this, he was responsible for the legal department of a Bulgarian company in the financial services sector. His previous work experience spans various practice areas, including public procurement, regulatory and compliance, AML, enforcement proceedings. Ivan is a member of the firm's EU & Competition and Public Procurement, Concessions & PPPs departments.

Ivaylo Nikolov joined Kambourov & Partners in 2009. He is the Deputy Head of the firm's Litigation, Arbitration and ADR practice. Ivaylo specialises in all types of individual claims in a range of industry sectors, including banking and finance, energy and project finance, insurance, public procurement. He has solid experience in arbitration proceedings and procedures for recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards.
Prior to joining Kambourov & Partners, Ivaylo was Head of Department in the Legal Division of the Post-Privatization Control Agency (PPCA).

Maria Apostolova joined Kambourov & Partners in January 2022. Prior to this, she gained experience as an Associate at another Bulgarian law firm (2018 - 2021), worked as legal advisor at a Notary office (2018), and interned for the Bulgarian branch of an international law firm (2017). She has a background in Corporate and Commercial law, M&A, Financial law and Capital Markets.
Maria is part of the firm's Corporate team, with a focus on M&A transactions. She has a strong interest in the IT and telecommunications sectors.

Nikol joined Kambourov & Partners in 2020. Prior to this she worked at the transfer pricing department of KPMG in the offices in Luxembourg and Bulgaria. She also interned for the European Parliament and Transparency International.
As a transfer pricing expert she has experience in assisting multinational enterprises with a wide range of services from strategic planning to risk assessments to design and implementation of transfer pricing business models.

Plamen Yotov joined Kambourov & Partners in 2009. He is the head of the firm's EU & Competition department. He specialises in unfair competition and antitrust regulation (domestic and EU), abuse of dominant position, cartels, dawn raids. He has solid experience in a variety of industries including retail, energy, consumer products, TMT, financial services and healthcare.
Plamen has participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition as team member (2011-2012), team advisor (2012-2013) and coach (2015-2017) of the team of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski;
He has also acted as arbitrator at the Willem C. Vis Moot (2015-present) and Memorial Judge at the FDI Moot /international investment arbitration/ (2014-present). He is part of the winning team of the Central and Eastern European Moot Court Competition (CEEMC) in EU Law (2013), organized by the University of Cambridge under the auspices of the Court of Justice of the European Union. Plamen Yotov is the winner of the National Student Writing Contest of the Commission on Protection of Competition (2011).

Veronika Hadjieva joined Kambourov & Partners in 2004. She is the head of the firm's Corporate Governance practice and a key Corporate and M&A expert. Veronika works side to side with both domestic and international clients in large-scale, local and cross-border transactions. Her experience covers domestic and trans-border M&A, corporate finance, foreign investments, consolidations and de-mergers, business separation, corporate structuring, privatization, post-privatization/post-acquisition unbundling and restructuring of acquired enterprises, information memoranda, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, including share purchase agreements, escrow account agreements and others. Veronika has been at the forefront of many of the firm's largest M&A mandates and is qualified in a range of industry sectors including IT, media, telecommunications, banking, manufacturing, retail, energy.

Yana is a key member of the firm's IP practice and focuses on the preparation and filing of trademark and design applications, trademark opposition procedures, IP infringement, cross-border licensing, IP litigation. She further advises clients in national and cross-border copyright matters. Yana specialises in IP auditing in the context of legal due diligence required for sale, acquisition and securitisation purposes. She has particular experience in sectors such as media, telecommunications, and retail. Yana is also exploring next-generation legal topics such as cryptocurrencies, e-gambling, and medical marijuana.
Prior to joining Kambourov & Partners, Yana interned at the International Arbitration & Litigation department of Herbert Smith Freehills Paris LLP and at the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration. Yana was a member of the Panthéon-Sorbonne University Paris 1 team participating in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in 2012, coached the team the following year and has been coaching Bulgarian students for the Moot ever since.

Zlatko joined Kambourov & Partners in 2021. He specialises in a range of regulatory matters including health and safety, environmental protection, and extensive sector-specific regulations.
Zlatko advises on a wide range of regulatory laws, from both a Bulgarian and EU law perspective, including in relation to compliance with applicable legislation, labelling and packaging requirements, and obligations placed on manufacturers, service providers, importers, and exporters in a number of key industries - technology and telecommunications, aviation, financial and payment services, gambling activities, pharmaceuticals and life sciences.
Zlatko has obtained degrees from the interdisciplinary honours programme Politics, Psychology, Law, and Economics (PPLE) and the master's programme European Competition Law and Regulation at the University of Amsterdam, graduating with cum laude distinction from both.
