LAPWD was founded by a group of people with disabilities to promote the Philosophy of Independent Living and to put that philosophy into practice... Our mission is to empower and enable people with disabilities in County Leitrim to achieve independent living and equal participation and full inclusion in society. Over the past 20 years our staff have been providing a range of services to support and promote independence for people with disabilities and older persons... Since being established in 1996, LAPWD has become a leading provider of quality services to people with disabilities in County Leitrim. Our core aim empower people with disabilities to achieve independence, self-determination, choice and control over their own lives.
