DISTRICT 128

Orchesis is an extracurricular student dance company offered by the LHS Fine Arts Department. It is open to both male and female students in grades 9-12. Acceptance into the company is by audition only. The annual Orchesis performance is formally presented in the LHS Auditorium in May. The main focus of the company is to support the development of student choreographers and their artistic work. A variety of dance styles are featured each year such as jazz, contemporary, lyrical, modern, ballet, tap, hip-hop, musical theatre, and cultural dance forms.
