The difference is that our approach is we focus on working alongside your child to give him/her the skills that she needs to become successful. As learning coaches we look for what a student can do well and where he is successful. That helps us learn about the child or young adult. Then we can partner with the student to help them apply that strength to her area of weakness. We believe in the saying, "Give a man a fish and you feed and you feed him for a day: teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime" (Maimonides)... As learning coaches working alongside your child/young adult, we have intimate knowledge of the common core, teaching methods used in class at elementary and secondary levels, a deep understanding of content area, and a knowledge of how students learn. We also have experience in remote learning and can support learners in this process. All of this works together to help grow independent learners who reach their potential.
