CHUNG GWO CHIN obtained the Master of Engineering Science (M.Eng.Sc.) from Multimedia University, Malaysia in 2009. He then received his Doctor of Philosophy from the same university in 2017. He is currently a Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Multimedia University in Malaysia. His research area includes the field of wireless communications especially in digital signal processing, and interference suppression. He is currently extending his research field to Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning and embedded system. He is also a member of International Association of Engineers (IAENG), Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science (IAES), International Computer Science and Engineering Society (ICSES) and The Institute of Research Engineers and Doctors (IRED). He has received several silver and bronze medals at the Research Innovation Commercialization & Entrepreneurship Showcase (RICES), MMU, Malaysia from the year of 2018 till 2021. He has vast experience in being a project leader in both national and university research grants such as the Skim Geran Penyelidikan Eksploratori (ERGS) (2013-2015), Mini Fund (2018-2019) and IRFund (2021-2023).

Biography Katrina D. Dambul received her B. Eng (Hons) Electronics majoring in Telecommunications and Master of Engineering Science from Multimedia University, Cyberjaya, Malaysia in 2002 and 2007 respectively. In 2011, she received a Master of Science from University of Oxford, United Kingdom and in 2018, she received her Doctor of Philosophy from University of Malaya. In 2002, she began her academic work as as a tutor in Multimedia University, Cyberjaya, Malaysia and in 2007, she was promoted to the position of lecturer. Her research interests are specialty optical fiber design and fabrication and optical communications. Her knowledge in this area has led to 10 publications in peer-reviewed indexed journal papers, 8 conference proceedings and 1 book chapter (accepted). She was the first author for 3 journals and 3 conference proceedings. As of December 2018, from her publications, she has 198 citations and a h-index of 6. In terms of awards, at I-Inova 2014 which is an innovation expo held on 31 October to 2 November 2014 in Malaysia, her research work on multicore flat fiber won the Gold Medal and a special ASM Innovation Award (the only award given specially by the Academy of Sciences Malaysia). Katrina was the project leader of a few grants which from 1 February 2016 to 31 January 2018 is a research project amounting RM 295,102.00 entitled 'Optical Amplifier for GPON Extender'. This is an external grant given by TMR&D. During this project, she led the team of research fellow and research officers to ensure the successful completion of the project on time, including an application for intellectual property (industrial design), successful completion of four final year project students and publication. Another example of her leadership capabilities is as a project leader for an internally funded project worth RM8000 entitled 'Transmission and Sensing Characteristics of a Tapered Flat Fiber'. Since 2003, as a project leader and team member, she has received a total of RM 1.05 million in research grants from agencies such as Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Telekom Malaysia and Multimedia University. She has also supervised 5 final year project students (from the year 2012 to 2015). Her recent final year project student also published a conference paper from the final year project. She was also the moderator for more than 10 final year project students since 2010 and the expert for 2 Masters project. As a recognition to her expertise and significant performance in research, she was also invited to become a reviewer for several top ranking journals and international conferences such as IEEE conferences. She has been a reviewer for journals such as Journal of Lightwave Technology, 0733-8724, Optical Society of America and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Journal of Modern Optics, 0950-0340, Taylor and Francis Group. Katrina has also been granted 2 patents for her innovation in 2015 and she is currently in the process of applying for one industrial design (intellectual property). To demonstrate her leadership capabilities, Katrina held several important administrative positions in Faculty of Engineering including as the assistant programme coordinator for B.Eng (Hons) Electronics majoring Optical Engineering from 2011-2014. During her time as the assistant programme coordinator, her programme also successfully obtained the EAC accreditation for 5 years. She is also currently the secretary for Fiber Optics Research Center and Industrial Training Committee. She is also a member of Homepage committee and has been an invited committee member for student academic affairs committee and academic planning committee. She is also active in professional societies and has been in the organizing committee for international conferences such as IEEE SCORED 2011, ICP 2011 (International Conference on Photonics 2011) and ICP 2012 (International Conference on Photonics 2012). She is also a graduate member of Board of Engineers Malaysia. As a lecturer, since 2010, she has been the subject coordinator for more than 10 times for subjects such as 'Optical Communication Systems', 'Optoelectronics and Optical Communications', 'Fundamental of Optics', 'Optoelectronic Devices' and 'Multimedia Management Systems'. As a subject coordinator, she has to coordinate the administrative part of her subject including exam preparation and analysis of exam results. Her teaching evaluations have also been higher than average for all the subjects that she has taught. She has consistently received letter of recommendation from her university for achieving a higher than average score for her teaching evaluations. In conclusion, Katrina has demonstrated a consistent significant performance as an academic in research, teaching and administration work.

Dr. Tan Wooi Haw holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from Multimedia University. He is a highly qualified and experienced educator with expertise in cutting-edge technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Throughout his career, he has successfully delivered various government and privately funded projects. His research is widely published in international journals, presented at conferences, and featured in book chapters. Additionally, Dr. Tan is also the co-author of two textbooks on microcontroller systems. He shares his vast knowledge through courses in electronics, embedded system, artificial intelligence, and computer networking at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Dr. Tan is actively engaged in designing and developing hardware prototypes for IoT-based embedded systems, along with software systems for machine learning and deep learning. His consistent involvement in consultancy for various industries on IoT and AI applications has contributed significantly to practical solutions and bridging of academia-industry gaps. As a HRDC-accredited trainer, he conducts highly sought-after training sessions and workshops for industries, especially in the areas of IoT and AI technologies. Dr. Tan is also a regular participant in renowned competitions such as ITEX, PECIPTA, and MTE, where he has received numerous awards and accolades for his innovative works.

Tan Sri Zakri

Tan Sri Zakri was born in Bentong, Pahang, in 1948. Since 2010, he has served as the science adviser to the Prime Minister of Malaysia. He is also a Joint Chairman, Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT), Chairman of Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation (BIOTECHCORP), and Chairman of Board of Advisers, UNU-International Institute on Global Health. His academic qualification includes a Bachelor of Science, Louisiana State University (1972), a Master's degree in Science (1974) and Ph.D (1976) from Michigan State University, USA. His professional interests include crop science, biodiversity and science diplomacy. He has produced a number of publication and papers that are related to his interests. Three species have been named after him; a beetle (Paleosepharia zakrii), a cicada (Pomponia zakrii) and a pitcher plant (Nepenthes zakriana). Throughout his career, Tan Sri Zakri is also frequently invited to be a keynote speaker at national and international environment, sustainable development and science and technology-related conferences. In addition, he has a significant international profile and a strong research reputation. He also brings extensive experience and demonstrated management ability from a range of tertiary education roles in Malaysia. Tan Sri Zakri has received numerous awards and recognitions including Fulbright-Hays Fellowship (1981), Rotary Research Foundation Gold Medal Award (1999), ISSAAS Matsuda Award (2013), Merdeka Award for Excellent Achievement in the Environment (2015), Matsuda Award of International Society for Southeast Asian Agricultural Sciences (2013), Social Innovation Leadership Award (2016), ASEAN Biodiversity Heroes (2017) and many more.
