Mrs. Luzviminda Keene

Luzviminda Keene studied piano performance at Wesleyan College in Macon, Ga., with Edward Eikner. She then continued her piano studies with Barbara Lister-Sink at Salem College, which highlighted the injury preventive technique. She was trained in Somatics and Alexander technique, and yoga which she applied to her playing. She also studied piano with Ruskin Cooper and began harp studies as an adult with Patricia Pence Sokoloff. Luzviminda Keene founded MindaMusic in 2000 in Winston-Salem, NC. , and is based on the belief that music is inherent in all of us. Regardless of your age, level of musical proficiency, or physical/mental limitations, MindaMusic can assist you in finding the "musician within." In addition to music performance and self-development, MindaMusic also promotes the healing benefits of music. Private or group lessons (in-person and online) are taught by Mrs. Luzviminda Keene and Ms. Destinee Lavaee. Instruments taught include harp (lever and pedal, piano, guitar, and violin for all ages. No previous musical training is necessary and at MindaMusic School. MindaMusic prides itself in bestowing the best introduction to music for beginner students and advanced students of all ages with ease and enjoyment.
