MOJO AKITAS

Mojo Akitas is located in Northern California about 75 miles south of San Francisco. We breed quality Akitas for show and companionship. Our interest in Akitas first started in 1989 with a rescued Akita/Lab mix named Kumo. He was unlike any other dog that I had previously known and not only looked more Akita than Lab; he had the spirit and soul of one. Because of Kumo, I began reading books about the breed and realized the traits in Kumo that we loved so dearly, were the traits of an Akita... We are striving to produce healthy dogs with breed type, sound movement and excellent temperaments. Breeding to improve, not mass produce, we only breed when we feel that we can make a positive contribution to the breed. Health clearances such as OFA, CERF and Thyroid panel are always performed prior to a breeding. Our puppies are raised in our home receiving plenty of care and socialization.
