The Society of Construction Law, Malaysia saw its beginnings in 2003 as the Society of Construction Law (Kuala Lumpur and Selangor) with a membership comprising persons interested in construction law and residing in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor... Effective 2009, the Society expanded to become a national society admitting members from all states of Malaysia. The Society's main aim is to promote education, study and research in the field of construction law and related subjects. The Society is autonomous but has links with the Society of Construction Law, UK. The Society also has similar links with allied societies in Europe, Hong Kong and Singapore... The emblem has a pair of scales and the words "Society of Construction Law" in striking red colour. Red, being one of the colours in the Malaysian Flag, represents the Malaysian identity of the Society, signaling success and prosperity. The words "Society of Construction Law" in auspicious red gives it prominence, suggesting distinction..
