The company emerged from a blacksmith shop that was founded in 1827 in Solingen, a city closely associated with high-quality knives in Germany. SMF owns the shares of and steers our subsidiaries in Germany and abroad. Headquartered in Eichelhardt, SMF is responsible for the group's accounting and financial accounting.
