Joree Novotny was appointed as the executive director for the Ohio Association of Foodbanks in July 2023 after a 13-year tenure in progressive roles at the association. She looks forward to continuing to serve as an advocate for Ohio's foodbanks and Ohio's food insecure families.

In her role as President and CEO of the Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio, Julie Chase-Morefield leads a team of thirty-four dedicated staff and oversees a combined annual operating and food budget of $20 million. Most recently, under her leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, Second Harvest led an unprecedented regional effort to provide food assistance to over 172,000 unduplicated individuals, distributing almost 14 million pounds of food and groceries.
Julie has served as President and CEO of the Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio since 2004. Her current term as Board Chair with the Ohio Association of Foodbanks ends June 30, 2023.
Julie Chase-Morefield is the President and CEO of the Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio and serves as the Board Chair for the Ohio Association of Foodbanks. Our board is comprised of the directors of Ohio's 12 Feeding America foodbanks.
