Ackrion Mangimela

Dr. Mangimela was born and raised in Zambia. He completed one year of Mandarin Chinese at Beijing Language & Culture University before transferring to China Medical University to complete his medical degree. After graduating from medical school in 2013, he returned home to Zambia where he completed further medical training at the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka and Livingstone Central Hospital in Livingstone. Upon obtaining his full medical license, Dr. Mangimela managed the Family Medical Clinic at Livingstone Central Hospital. Prior to becoming a fulltime faculty in 2021, Dr. Mangimela worked as an adjunct professor for OKWU from 2018 to 2020 teaching Introduction to Human Biology, Introduction to Microbiology, and Pharmacology for Nurses. He was a frequent guest lecturer on topics such as care of people living with HIV/AIDS. In 2020, Dr. Mangimela completed his MBA with a focus in Healthcare Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.

David Hart

David Hart brings practical know-how to his role as OKWU's Executive in Residence of the Chesapeake Energy School of Business. An experienced entrepreneur, Hart has launched over 20 successful businesses, including a Century 21 real estate office when he was only 19 years old. He's hired thousands of people over the years and knows how to train students to get their foot in the door. He received his B.A. and M.B.A. from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. "I have the ability to give back in this Christ-centered atmosphere and to make a difference in the lives of the people that I'm working with each day. OKWU is like a big family - we care about you, and if you want to succeed, we're going to go the extra mile to help you do just that."

Dr. Brett Andrews

Dr. Brett Andrews joined Oklahoma Wesleyan University in 2002 as the inaugural Dean and Professor of Management for the (now) Chesapeake Energy School of Business. During his time here, Andrews has launched the university's first graduate programs, developed the online campus, and led multiple successful accreditation efforts. Andrews now serves as the Vice President for Graduate & Professional Studies and teaches courses in the graduate business programs. He holds degrees from Northeastern State University, Oral Roberts University, and Walden University. Dr. Andrews has been married to his college sweetheart since 1991, and he is father to two children-a son and a daughter. Prior to joining OKWU, Dr. Andrews held multiple positions at other universities, including Dean, Vice President, and Executive Vice President.

Dr. Brian Turner

Dr. Brian Turner received his B.S. from Southern Nazarene University and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Dallas. He consistently ranks as one of OKWU's most beloved faculty members, integrating practical application of his subject matter to advanced, cutting-edge classroom instruction. Through interactive projects like raft-building on OKWU's pond to practice with catapults, physics takes on a life of its own when studied in one of Dr. Turner's classes. Most importantly, like all of OKWU's faculty, Turner remains committed to integrating his Christian faith into the classroom, often going above and beyond for those students entrusted to his care. "The most important thing for my students is, I hope, that I point them towards God. That they feel like I value them, believe in them, care about them. I also hope that they develop at least some appreciation or love for their subject, that I have made it exciting for them to be lifelong learners in that topic. Hopefully, they have learned about each other, learned how to do teamwork, respect each other, and make relationships that will last their whole life."

Dr. Joshua McNall has taught at OKWU since 2009. He holds a Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Manchester (UK), an MA in theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a BA in Pastoral Ministry from OKWU. Josh directs the OKWU honors program and preaches regularly around the country as the Ambassador of Church Relations for OKWU. He blogs regularly at www.joshuamcnall.com and hosts the Outpost Theology podcast, sponsored by OKWU. Josh and his wife Brianna are both graduates of OKWU, and they have four children: Lucy, Penelope, Ewan, and Teddy.

Dr. Keri Bostwick

Dr. Keri Bostwick is a proud graduate of Wesleyan Christian School (where she attended Kindergarten) and Forsyth High School. She attended Bartlesville Wesleyan College, receiving her B.A. in Secondary English Education in 1998, Oklahoma Wesleyan University, receiving her M.Ed. in 2013, and Concordia University-Portland, receiving her Ed.D. in Transformational Leadership in 2020. Her dissertation examined culturally relevant pedagogy in evangelical institutions. For seventeen years, Bostwick worked in the Bartlesville Public School system as a teacher and leader, teaching 7th Grade English for nine years and Advanced Placement English Literature to seniors for eight years. Bostwick is passionate about five basic areas in her life: her faith, her family, her friends, her field of study (Education), and her football -specifically, her Denver Broncos football. "I love interacting with my students and my peers. We can laugh together, cry together, or pray together. And while we are all doing good jobs, we are all doing a good work. We know we are here for a higher purpose and mission, and that changes everything."

Dr. Mark Shannon is a management and leadership professor who has deep and broad roots in Fortune 500 companies, as well as in entrepreneurial ventures. With 29 years of experience, Dr. Shannon has developed the ability to create effective teams, increase employee retention, strengthen employee satisfaction, and develop organizational leaders. His experience includes Northwestern Mutual Life, Lifetime Fitness, and time as the owner of successful smaller ventures. Shannon recognizes the need and is deeply passionate about developing authentic leaders. He feels that to change the landscape of leadership, authenticity in leadership should be encouraged and developed at multiple levels. Through collaboration, he is committed to using robust methods to develop strategic plans that work effectively. Dr. Shannon has a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University, an M.B.A. with a managerial finance concentration from Oklahoma Wesleyan University, and a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Covenant College. Mark is a reviewer for the International Leadership Association and continues to participate in scholarly research in organizational leadership. He also coaches OKWU's championship-level croquet team.

Dr. Wendel Weaver

Since 2005, Dr. Wendel Weaver has faithfully served Oklahoma Wesleyan University (OKWU) as Professor of Strategy and Marketing, Assistant Dean for Faculty Development, Director of the Chesapeake Energy School of Business Pareto Group (CESB honors program), Director of Internships/Coops, and his most recent appointment as Dean for the CESB. He regularly teaches educational travel courses in Hong Kong, Colorado, New York, Israel, and numerous European countries. He holds degrees from the University of Texas, Austin, Le Tourneau University, Longview, Texas, and Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana. Dr. Weaver currently serves the community at large by dedicating time and energy to three boards (two non-profits and one for-profit). Additionally, he regularly speaks and consults as time permits. He has been married to his college sweetheart since 1988 and they have had the privilege of raising and nurturing five wonderful girls. And they welcomed his first son-in-law into the family in 2021. During his college years at the University of Texas, he played football for the Longhorns the year the team fell one point short of being crowned national champions. While in college he also helped found Beta Upsilon Chi/BYX (pronounced BUX) Brothers Under Christ - in 1985. Today, it is the largest Christian Fraternity in the world serving 35 university campuses around the US with over 2,500 college men participating each year. Dr. Weaver currently serves as Chairman/CEO of BYX. Prior to academia Dr. Weaver had 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry and served several years as a Corporate Stock Broker with Fidelity Investments, Boston MA.

Eric Peterson

Professor Eric Peterson is passionate about bringing together advanced knowledge with practical application, and it's the marriage of these two arms of Criminal Justice that make OKWU's program unique. He served for more than 20 years with the Bartlesville Police Department and took on a variety of roles within the department, including firearms instructor, special operations, and training officer. After leaving his role as an active duty police officer, Peterson designed the OKWU curriculum from the ground up, with an emphasis on giving his students the best practical teaching in the area. He received his B.S. in Business Administration from Oklahoma Wesleyan, as well as his M.B.A. from Southern Nazarene University. Peterson received his master's in philosophy from Walden University and is currently pursuing his doctorate there.

Professor Jason L. Bussey joined Oklahoma Wesleyan University in 2015 as Assistant Professor of Accounting and the Director of Undergraduate Adult Business Programs. During his time here, Bussey has taught accounting courses, economics courses, and has taught the Chesapeake Energy School of Business capstone course for traditional students. Bussey has also been a keynote presenter for Fortune 500 companies, and he regularly provides consulting services as time permits. He holds degrees from Oklahoma State University and Oklahoma Wesleyan University and is currently pursuing his doctorate from Anderson University. Professor Bussey has been married to his high school sweetheart since 2004, and he is father to four wonderful daughters. Mr. Kory Pence was named the Vice President for Creative Impact (Chief Creative Officer) in August of 2019 to lead OKWU's communication and branding strategies. He has expanded OKWU's capabilities to successfully partner with and impact students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, and community through design-driven environments. Kory brings experience branding global organizations, leading collaborative creative teams, and an enthusiasm for students experiencing Christ through higher education. His experience also includes consulting in the private sector through marketing, designing, digital storytelling, and branding for impact initiatives. Additionally, he has engaged students in the classroom, teaching university-level courses in design. Sandra Lynn

Professor Sandy Lynn has spent over thirty years in nonprofit organizations. Immediately prior to teaching at OKWU, she provided thirteen years of leadership to an academic support organization for families who chose to home-educate their children, both teaching students and equipping parents for this monumental task. The importance of developing students' socioemotional skills is increasingly important and is one of Lynn's passions. She holds credentials as an Emotional Intelligence practitioner through Multi Health Systems, using the EQ-I 2.0 assessment tool. Lynn believes that increasing students' ability to communicate is paramount to their success, both academically and professionally. She is thankful that she can join her passions for leadership development and communication as the lead in the Business Communication degree program. Professor Lynn completed a Master of Science of Strategic Leadership from OKWU in 2018 and a Master of Arts in Communication with an Emphasis in Education from Grand Canyon University in August 2020. "I love building relationships with students, influencing the whole person not just by the content matter that I teach, but by sharing my passion and love for Jesus. And I love being part of a team who all feel the exact same way."

Stacy Pierce

Professor Stacy Pierce received her B.S. in Mathematics from Trevecca Nazarene University, her M.A. in Teaching (Secondary Mathematics, 9-12) from Western Carolina University, and, most recently, her M.S. in Mathematics from Emporia State University. She feels strongly about her calling to OKWU, confident in the fact that God has put her in place and affirmed her position. She works hard to create a "lightbulb moment" in each of her students, when something clicks and understanding is achieved, and she is passionate about caring for her students holistically, not just in the classroom.
