She is one of the founding members of the Pride Employee Resource Group for SHC and is committed to enabling others to be leaders who can be their authentic selves. Meeting more faculty, staff, and students at Stanford Medicine has further driven her passion for LGBTQ+ awareness. Her interests include fair treatment of staff, equity in employee benefits, and building a supportive, inclusive, and accepting community at Stanford.
A notable accomplishment for Ann-Marie is her initiative to successfully implement the option to display lived names on employee badges and medical licenses at Stanford Medicine. This initiative is a key exhibition of inclusion for all identities. Diana Koeplin serves as the inaugural Assistant Director for DEI in Faculty Recruitment, in the Office of Faculty Development and Diversity. Diana will partner with faculty search committees, design tools and resources focused on intentional DEI efforts, develop strategic outreach plans, analyze diversity metrics within applicant pools, and serve as the DEI subject matter expert and resource in the academic recruitment process. Diana has a strong background in Academic Affairs and Human Resources, with over 17 years of experience supporting higher education, making her the ideal incumbent for this role. Dr. Carmin Powell is a faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics and a Pediatric Hospitalist/Medical Director at Watsonville Community Hospital. Dr. Christy Sandborg is a Professor of Pediatric Rheumatology at Stanford Medicine and the OFDD Faculty Director for Gender Equity. As a leader in the Pediatrics Department in Stanford Children's Hospital and in the School of Medicine, her interests include the wellbeing of women faculty, physicians, providers, and clinical staff. The disparities affecting women in medicine became very apparent to Dr. Sandborg through her investigations of workplace inequities. Dr. Sanborg further assumed a leadership role in the gender equity space at Stanford Medicine when she was appointed by OFDD to co-lead the Taskforce to Mitigate the Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Stanford Medicine Women Faculty. She looks forward to implementing the Taskforce's recommendations in her role as OFDD Director for Gender Equity.
Dr. Sandborg aims to collaborate with department leaders to identify the best strategies to address the lingering impacts of the pandemic and to further investigate the impact of gender on the success of women faculty. She intends to apply these learnings from across the School of Medicine to develop a toolkit for Department Chairs and to foster accountability among department leaders.

Dr. Peter Poullos is a faculty member in the Department of Radiology, and the Founder and Co-Chair of the Stanford Medicine Alliance for Disability Inclusion and Equity (SMADIE). Being a Stockton, California native, he received his B.S. in Biology from Santa Clara University, completed his M.D. degree at the University of Texas Medical Center, and worked as a Gastroenterology Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco before training in Radiology at the Stanford University School of Medicine. He has always had an interest in helping underserved populations and turned his focus to improving health equity for patients with disabilities after sustaining a spinal cord injury.
Through SMADIE, he advances equity and inclusion for people with disabilities at Stanford Medicine by educating constituents with his research and running advocacy and mentorship programs for this community. Dr. Poullos enjoys being a part of the DEI community and meeting people who share the same passion for justice, fairness, and inclusion from all over Stanford Medicine. He values the continued collaboration with OFDD to launch research projects such as the Justice, Equity, and Abilities Survey and provide mentorship to his community.

As Dr. Harman is familiar with the challenges associated with the transition to leadership roles, she is committed to creating opportunities for all voices to be heard in leadership spaces and removing the barriers that impede the confidence of rising leaders. Jill Evans, MPH, is a Program Director in Pediatrics and OFDD. She provides administrative oversight for several initiatives including Stanford Precision Health for Ethnic and Racial Equity (SPHERE), one of five NIH centers focused on using precision-medicine tools to improve the health of underserved minority populations. She also manages the Health Equity Action Leadership (HEAL) Network that brings faculty together to address health inequities through collaboration, mentorship, education and policy. In her first six years at Stanford, as Research Director for the Office of Community Health, Jill collaborated with Stanford researchers and community organizations to improve the health of populations by building community capacity for research through academic-community partnerships.

Dr. Victor G. Carrion is the John A. Turner, M.D. Professor and Vice-Chair of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University and Director of the Stanford Early Life Stress and Resilience Program. He is in the faculty at both Stanford University School of Medicine and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. His multidisciplinary research on the behavioral, academic, emotional, and biological late effects of experiencing trauma has led to the development and implementation of effective new interventions for treating children who experience traumatic stress. Using Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as an anchor, Dr. Carrion is investigating, through longitudinal studies, the effects of stress on developmental physiology and brain development and function.
Dr. Carrion has authored and developed the multi-modal intervention therapist guide, Cue-Centered Therapy for Youth Experiencing Posttraumatic Symptoms. Cue-Centered Therapy (CCT) is a psychosocial treatment approach for children and adolescents who have been exposed to chronic traumatic experiences. CCT derives its name from its focus on the conditioning process that results in sensitivity towards trauma-related cues. Additionally, he is the author of Neuroscience of Pediatric PTSD that examines the advances in the neuroscience of executive function, memory, emotional processing and associated features such as dissociation, self-injurious behaviors, and sleep regulation.
Dr. Carrion has published numerous peer-reviewed articles addressing the social, biological, and policy implications of violence and trauma in the lives of children. He has worked as an associate editor for the Journal of Traumatic Stress and has served as a reviewer for the National Institute of Mental Health and Mental Health and Behavioral Sciences Review Board of the Department of Veterans Affairs' Medical Research Service. His seminal findings identifying biological correlates of traumatic stress have been published in leading journals of the field such as Biological Psychiatry, Depression and Anxiety, Journal of Pediatric Psychology. Most recently, Dr. Carrion edited two published works from American Psychiatric Association titled, Assessing and Treating Youth Exposed to Traumatic Stress and Applied Mindfulness: Approaches in Mental Health for Children and Adolescents; both books serve as tools for clinicians that work with children, adolescents and transitional age youth who have experienced traumatic stress.

Lloyd B. Minor, MD, is a scientist, surgeon, and academic leader. He is the Carl and Elizabeth Naumann Dean of the Stanford University School of Medicine, a position he has held since December 2012. He also is a professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and a professor of Bioengineering and of Neurobiology, by courtesy, at Stanford University.
As dean, Dr. Minor plays an integral role in setting strategy for the clinical enterprise of Stanford Medicine, an academic medical center that includes the Stanford University School of Medicine, Stanford Health Care, and Stanford Medicine Children's Health. With his leadership, Stanford Medicine leads the biomedical revolution in Precision Health. His book, "Discovering Precision Health," describes this shift to more preventive, personalized health care and highlights how biomedical advances are dramatically improving our ability to treat and cure complex diseases. In 2021, Dr. Minor articulated and began realizing a bold vision to transform the future of life sciences at Stanford University and beyond - a multi-decade journey enabled by Precision Health.
Before Stanford, Dr. Minor was provost and senior vice president for academic affairs of Johns Hopkins University. Prior to this appointment in 2009, Dr. Minor served as the Andelot Professor and director (chair) of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and otolaryngologist-in-chief of The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
With more than 160 published articles and chapters, Dr. Minor is an expert in balance and inner ear disorders perhaps best known for discovering superior canal dehiscence syndrome, a debilitating disorder characterized by sound- or pressure-induced dizziness. He subsequently developed a surgical procedure that corrects the problem and alleviates symptoms.
