Brian supports the academic experience of Honors students both as a teaching assistant for two Contemplation in Action courses and as an instructor for the Professional Development and Discernment course. He also works with the Path mentors to support their wellness and assists with various operational aspects of the program. Brian joined the honors program staff in 2022 as its graduate assistant as he works toward completing his Ph.D. at SLU. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis and an M.A. in Public Policy Administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Dr. Fran Pestello is the first first lady of Saint Louis University. She brings decades of academic experience and a passion for higher education to the role.
Dr. Fran Pestello supports the work of SLU's Office of the President, often by hosting events for students, staff, faculty, and community constituents at the president's residence in the Central West End. She serves as a board member of the SLU Women's Commission. She also is on the board of the International Institute of St. Louis.
As an adjunct professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at SLU, Dr. Fran Pestello teaches introductory courses and an upper-division course related to her research specialization in deviant behavior.
Prior to moving to St. Louis, she served as a professor of sociology at Le Moyne College. She was also department chair and professor of sociology at The University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. Her research interests include deviance, law, crime and delinquency, methods and statistics, social psychology, and family.

Dr. Fred P. Pestello became the 33rd President of Saint Louis University in 2014. He is the first permanent lay president of Saint Louis University since its founding in 1818, and the University' third longest-serving president. He is proud to have spent nearly 40 years in Catholic higher education.
Dr. Pestello has galvanized the Saint Louis University community around a transformative vision. Rooted in the values and tradition of Jesuit education, he is working with a talented team of leaders to foster growth, inspire innovation, and advance initiatives that serve a higher purpose and greater good.
Dr. Rebecca Muich provides direction for the Honors Program, works closely with SLU faculty and staff to offer unique learning experiences to Honors students, and offers oversight for campus initiatives like competitive scholarship and fellowship advising and supporting undergraduate research. She holds an Honors B.A. in Classics and History from Xavier University, an M.A. in Classics from the University of Florida, and a PhD in Classical Philology from the University of Illinois. Before arriving at SLU, she was an assistant professor of Classics at her alma mater Xavier University, and then programming coordinator/academic advisor and later assistant dean in Lloyd International Honors College at UNC Greensboro.
