Isaac H. Peres, the firm's Senior Civil Litigator, graduated from the Maimonides School in Brookline, Massachusetts in 1977. He received his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1981, and his Juris Doctorate from Boston College Law School in 1984. He is a member of the state and federal bars in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Starting in 1984, Attorney Peres worked as an associate for a high-profile criminal defense firm on the North Shore handling state and federal cases of major import.
From 1987 to 1994, Attorney Peres worked as an associate for a major Boston law firm. At that firm, he was responsible for the preparation of many dispostive motions and appeals in civil cases. It was during that time that Attorney Peres honed his outstanding oral and written advocacy skills, and was responsible for the reversal on appeal of two multi-million dollar jury verdicts against the firm's banking clients. Attorney Peres also argued a case before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court during a session in Salem, Massachusetts which commemorated the Court's 300th anniversary.
Since 1994, Attorney Peres has been a partner in two small law firms and has also been a solo practitioner. During these years, Attorney Peres has represented many individuals and small businesses at trials and appeals, including real estate, medical and legal malpractice, partnership dissolution, bankruptcy, and debt collection cases. Attorney Joseph Zoppo brings a combined 20 years experience in real estate as an attorney, a banker and a real estate broker with a multidisciplinary approach to solve your transactional or litigation related real estate and commercial matters.
Attorney Zoppo's experience spans many facets of the business and legal world. After working at 5 Fortune 500 Companies in various finance functions, he started his legal career on merger and acquisition defense.
Attorney Zoppo began his real estate career as a litigator in the real estate practice group of a southern New England law firm during the late eighties and early nineties. He represented both lenders and borrowers.
While being busily engaged in legal representation of clients engaged in commercial litigation, business transactions, both real estate and corporate, loan workouts and refinancings, Attorney Zoppo also has a busy mortgage banker practice representing clients in obtaining both commercial and residential real estate financing.
Attorney Zoppo is also an experienced real estate broker in commercial buy/sell/lease transactions and workouts for some of his commercial and residential developer, investor and retail clients. Along the way, Attorney Zoppo developed two of his own real estate projects transforming one from unimproved land to a fully tenanted income property and renovating the other for sale. Attorney Zoppo ran two closely held technology / manufacturing companies and was General Counsel to one and is currently engaged in the same capacity by two real estate holding companies.
