Alexandra Mogadam

Alexandra is a psychometrist at Dr. Queenie Lo's practice, and provides psychoeducational assessments (under supervision of Dr. Lo). Outside of her time at the clinic, Alexandra is pursuing her doctorate (PhD) in the School and Clinical Child Psychology Program at the University of Toronto (U of T). She received her MA from this program in 2022. She also received her Honours in Bachelor of Science (HBSc) at U of T, with a major in Neuroscience. S Prior to joining Dr. Lo's team, Alexandra completed a year-long school psychology practicum at the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), where she received extensive training in administering psychoeducational assessments in elementary and high school students. Alexandra has also worked with children and youth in other community-based settings, such as at the OISE Psychology Clinic, and at a summer intervention camp for children with selective mutism. Prior to her studies in Psychology, Alexandra completed a research-based masters at SickKids focusing on investigating brain activity patterns in children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Across her studies and volunteer/work experiences, Alexandra has worked with a diverse array of clients of various cultural, linguistic, mental health and developmental backgrounds. She takes a child/youth-centric approach in her assessments, and strives to create a warm and supportive space for her clients and their families. In her spare time, you can find Alexandra searching for the best desserts, reading, or caring for her many plants.

Cristina Rapuano

Cristina Rapuano is in supervised practice with the College of Psychologists of Ontario as a Psychological Associate. he works primarily work with adolescents and families under the direct supervision of Dr. Queenie Lo. She also works with the adult population. She is also a Registered Psychotherapist in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Cristina completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at York University. She holds a Master of Psychology Degree and a certificate in Trauma Psychotherapy from Adler Graduate School of Professional Psychology. S Cristina has been providing services under the supervision of a Psychologist to a vast majority of populations. Cristina has worked under the supervision of a neuropsychologist administering, scoring, and assisting with the interpretation of psychological testing. She has facilitated sports psychology workshops for the youth population, educating them on how to be mentally aware and reach their maximum performance potential. Cristina has volunteered at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). Cristina also has experience at an inpatient addiction centre providing individual therapy and conducting group workshops covering a variety of topics from week to week including but not limited to understanding trauma, effective communication, boundary setting, forgiveness and emotion regulation. Cristina believes that the foundation of effective treatment, is built on trust in the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and client. Cristina's goal is to create a safe space in which her clients are comfortable to express their inner feelings, thoughts, and emotions. Treatment is effective only when it is free of judgment and built on empathy and mutual respect. Cristina is eclectic in her treatment style, using a variety of treatment approaches including but not limited to, cognitive-behavioral therapy, supportive counseling, psychoeducation, relaxation training, pain management, thought disputation, and de-sensitization techniques. Treatment is ultimately tailored to each individual client, to ensure that their own specific needs are met. Born and raised in Markham, Ontario, Cristina has a passion for travel and animals. She enjoys keeping active with regular exercise. She also enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.

Dianna Scimeca

Dianna works under the direct supervision of psychologist Dr. Queenie Lo. Dianna received her BA in Psychology at York University and her Masters in Psychology at University of Nevada Reno. Dianna is Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and has significant experience providing consultations and treatment to children and adolescents with ASD and other behavioural concerns using principle of Behavioural Analysis. She has worked within the schools, community-based outpatient clinics, and private clinics. She was also Teaching Instructor at Seneca College in the area of Autism and Behavioural Science. Since 2013, she has joined the Psychology Department at Durham District School Board as Psychometrist providing psychoeducational assessments under supervision of Psychologists. Dianna is in the process of registering with the College of Psychologists of Ontario as Psychological Associate.

Dr. Bronwyn Lamond

Dr. Lamond received her doctorate in School and Clinical Child Psychology (CPA accredited) in 2023. She completed her predoctoral residency at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) where she received intensive training in assessment for autism spectrum disorder, treatment for eating disorders, family therapy, and individual psychotherapy. Dr. Lamond has also trained at SickKids, the Toronto District School Board, the OISE Psychology Clinic, Family Psychology Centre, and other private practices. Prior to training as a psychologist, Dr. Lamond received a Master's degree in Child Study and Education from OISE/University of Toronto, during which she trained and was certified as an elementary and special education teacher. As part of the registration process with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, Dr. Lamond's clinical work will be supervised by two practicing psychologists who are members of the CPO. All her clinical work at our clinic will be supervised by Dr. Queenie Lo. Dr. Lamond has training and experience in a number of evidenced-based treatments, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Solution-Focused Family Therapy, Family-Based Treatment for Eating Disorders, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, and parent management training. She provides therapy for children, teens, parents, and families experiencing a range of difficulties, using an integrative, collaborative approach, recognizing that goals and needs may change over time. She seeks to understand the complexity of her clients' lives, and their presenting concerns, by approaching each interaction with non-judgmental curiosity. Dr. Lamond believes that working with family systems is key to supporting child development and functioning, therefore she often works with parents as part of the treatment process.

Samantha Chan

Samantha is completing her Doctoral degree in Clinical Developmental Psychology at York University (CPA and APA accredited). She completed her Master's in the same program in 2019. Prior to this, Samantha obtained her Master's degree in Developmental Psychopathology at Durham University in the UK and her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Queen's University. Samantha has received extensive training working with children and adolescents under the supervision of psychologists at both the hospital and out-patient clinic setting. At our clinic, Samantha provides psychoeducational assessments and therapy to children, adolescents, and their families under the direct supervision of Dr. Queenie Lo. Her approach to treatment involves integrating techniques from cognitive-behavioural, acceptance and commitment, dialectical behaviour, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic therapies. She aims to create a warm, collaborative, and safe environment to her work with individuals and families with a wide range of concerns.
